Hi,

I downloaded a manual patch since my launcher fails to download it every time. It is a .tgz file and I can't figure out what to do with it to apply it to my game. I tried double clicking, and it said "unable to expand, error 1- operation not permitted".

How do I apply it?

Thanks

:)

If double-clicking a .tgz file says that, either
- you don't have an Archiver program like http://www.kekaosx.com/en/ or
- the downloaded patch is corrupted or incomplete and need to be redownloaded

After installing the Archiver app, double-click the extracted file and then when prompted to select the Sims 3 app, navigate to the Applications/The Sims3 and select the game.

I got it from here:

http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php...load/CurrentOSX

So it seems weird that the file would be corrupted. Although it sort of looks like you are saying it's not due to a corrupted file but a download that just didn't work for some reason? I will download it again, it took a while =/....

Thanks for the help =)

edit: It worked the second time around. Thanks again.
