Yesterday when I opened TS2 (Double Deluxe; University Life collection; Best of Business; Apartment life (all origin downloads)) And it game me a weird error about how I don't have enough disk space apparently (I have 849 gigabytes free.. (not megabytes GIGABYTES!!)) Then I was like OK then? and pressed OK. The game loaded normally the only issue being there weren't any neighborhoods! Only the 'create new neighborhood button' :\ I thought "I'll just reinstall and it will work perfectly! :D" <--(wrong) I uninstalled it and then re downloaded all of my games opened it up and sure enough there they still weren't there... T_T I uninstalled it AGAIN and re downloaded just Double deluxe thinking that it may be an EP problem but when I opened Double Deluxe there still weren't any neighborhoods... Here are my specs: Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 x64 Intel i7 920 @2.67 ATI Radeon HD5870 9 GB DDR3 RAM Two 1TB 7200RPM Hard Drives Thanks for your help guys! |

Where is your Documents folder located? It sounds like the game is having trouble writing to your user data files. Do you have a Sims 2 or Sims 2 Double Deluxe folder in Documents\ EAGames? If so, try dragging it to the desktop and restarting the game. Do you have the default neighborhoods then? |

The path to my documents folder is "C:\Users\Michael\Documents" I can't imagine that it would have any trouble getting Read Write permission to it... But the only folder in "Documents\EA Games\" is Mirror's Edge... Now I'm just stumped... I deleted my EA games folder (I don't really care about my ME game saves) And try to download again I guess. (Thank god I don't have a download cap...) Is TS2 a unicode application? That is my last thought, because I have my locale set to Japanese (because I use a lot of non-unicode Japanese apps) Changing my locale fixed it! It must of been unable to find the neighborhoods because of the encoding! :D |
