So, for whatever reason, almost every sim my sim knows is an elder. Same with the rest of the town. All the mixologist are elders, elders populate the clubs and public spaces. What the heck? I have story progression from NRAAS so the neighborhood should be flowing and changing, but everyone is old. What's up with that?

First thing to try:
Start a new game/town to see if problem is there to, if not then somehow that save got messed up, why/how i have no clue about.
If problem is persistent in a new game/town, then we can move onto trying to find the problem.

Oh my god! That's totally cray cray, man!

Did they just randomly become elder, or did they begin that way when you started the world?

Not really sure how to feel about it, something in the way you move...

Nah, it seems everyone is just aging and then...not dying. And nobody is having kids. I need to recheck to see if I have SP installed. Alright it is. I think I'm just gonna purge the elders and try to play other houses and give them children to try and give the town a new generation. It also doesn't help I play genies that live longer.

I'd ask about it at NRaas on the discussion page for story progression. That mod has a LOT of settings I'd say chances are that you aren't getting young sims in your hood because the elders aren't dying and the mod tries to balance population, but what's causing the elders not to die I don't know.

Uh, not sure. I went to every household with elders and killed them off with master controller and reset my story progression settings. Seeing how it goes now.

Hmm. I think you should take it as inspiration and make a horror movie about it. Dawn of The Elders or something like that. The Village that never died. Grandparents of Doom.

We are the Felegands. We will kick your ass.
