I have Sims 3 1.7.9.0020002 Windows Vista All my hair and clothing .sims3packs work, they install properly and appear in game with no problem. However, my objects (furniture, clutter) don't work! They install properly in the sims 3 launcher without a problem. However, once i enter buy mode in any save and click on any of the custom objects, the game freezes for about 5 seconds and crashes. what's the problem? I've tried this with multiple different custom objects with the same results. The vanilla objects still work fine, but as soon as I click on a custom object, the game crashes. HELP! And don't even get me started on getting .package files to work, but that's a problem for another day. |

Do you have .NET Framework 4.0 installed? Is it up to date? |

yeahh I have it installed, i just reinstalled it just in case and yeah no difference, same problems ): But here's something else. I had sims 3 installed on another computer that I used to play like a year ago, and I just took one of the custom objects saved on that computer and installed it on this one. This object was able to work in game. So maybe its a version incompatibility problem with the objects I'm having problems with? I don't really understand versions and stuff... |

That's entirely possible - your basegame is very out of date, so if those objects use scripts that have been added or significantly changed by a patch, that could explain the crashes. Try patching you game and see if that helps. |
