Default Playing Sims 3 with an eGPU?
Hi! I was directed to post here from the Sims 3 Forums. I recently got a new laptop for school, and I was wondering if there would be a way I could play Sims 3 on it. The graphics card isn't terrible, but it is still an integrated intel card. So it should be able to play the game, but not well or with a lot of packs or on high settings. Because of that, I was looking into setting up an eGPU (details below).

I have two main Qs.
1. Has anyone tried playing Sims 3 on an eGPU? How did it go?
2. Are there any immediately obvious with this setup? Can they be solved/how?

Laptop Specs:
Macbook Air 13" (2020)
* 1.2 GHz (Boost up to 3.8 GHz) i7 10th Generation Quad-Core Processor
* 16 GB RAM
* Intel Iris Pro Graphics
* 512 GB SSD

The eGPU setup I'm looking at:
based on a stable build from eGPU.io for a 2020 MacBook Air with an i5 processor and 8GB of RAM
* Razor Core X enclosure
* AMD RX Vega 56 Graphics Card (8 GB of RAM)
* Windows Bootcamp running at version Windows 10 1903
