I'm trying to create a Nicki Minaj Sim, but I need help on getting her features right. I was hoping for advice, tips, criticism on like makeup and facial features, skintone. I think I'm getting there, just not quite.











And to anyone who's a Nicki fan, advice on Nicki-like things would help. I've attached some reference pics. Thanks to all!

Hiya, she's by far the best Nicki Minaj sim I've ever seen!

Here are some suggestions on edits you could make :
~ Her eyes need to be closer together
~ Decrease the thickness of her upper lip
~ Raise her nostrils just a little bit
~ Make the bridge of the nose thinner
~ The whole face seems to be a bit too high
~ Lower her bottom eyelid some more
~ Lighten her skin a little bit, but not too much
~ Her chin needs to be a little bit more of a square shape
~ Her nasal bridge needs to be softened

The bright green hair seems to suit your sim much better than the plain black colour.
Could we also get some in-game pictures where she is looking straight at the camera?
Also could you put her in a hair which is off of her face so that we can see all of her features?

She looks really nice! I agree with the above comment, but also consider using a different skin with less facial definition. Let's be honest, Nicki's face has been under the knife so many times that she looks plastic. So a smoother skin will suit her.

Ok I'm the biggest Ken out there so let's spill out some advice, shall we?
Everything willmurray said is correct and I agree, except for the hairstyle. Even though the one you chose for the picture is the very one I have on my Nicki-sim in game, I think that an hairstyle without bangs would be better: she rocks this often lately.

Which could easily come in platinum or green, as in the Starships video.
About the eye color, her natural color is brown but she often wears grey contacts (I guess you can stick with contacts though, since if you went for a "natural" look she would probably be bald...) I love the tattoo.
Oh, OBVIOUSLY you need a slider to, ehm, enhance her breasts and bottom?

I laughed when I read your post because I remembered having problems in all these areas when I was making her. I went back in and did a bit of tweaking, but found that most of my sliders are to the max as far as the eyelids, and upper lip thickness. I'm using AwesomeMod and I remember modifying it to max the slider levels but I'll recheck. Any other way to combat this?



I just want to say, it was your Nicki Sim that inspired me to do my own. Thank you! And you reminded me I totally forgot I downloaded new skins because I hated EAs. Now the hard part is finding them in my mod folder.



YES! I am pulling my hair out looking for the right hair! I love the plat-blonde she has but alas can find the right one long enough. I posted in WCIF for help. For the eyes, they're suppose to be hazel, I remember her having them in before, but I think your right about the grey. And, lol, about the breast and butt sliders. I actually placed the butt slider to the max. The only problem was that the slider not only grows the butt, but the thigh as well. If you see Nicki, her thighs are actually small, it just her butt that is big. And as for her breast, to me look normal size, not to the extent as her butt. Idk, I guess I have to pay more attention to her assets for a while, lol!

I dont know if this is helpful but her neck need to be thinner, Nicki does look like a barbie in that respect whereas the sim's neck is quite thick. Whiterider uploaded a neck slider here at MTS, but I cant find it now :/

Interesting Nicki Minaj fact: She calls her fans "barbies"! Kind of similar to how Lady Gaga calls her fans "Little Monsters".

Okay. About the sim, I really like how she's going and I'll be interested to see how she turns out I might pop in and out to give feedback, but I won't give any now because it seems like you've got your work piled up with the feedback of the users above me.

So let me start off by saying that after tuning up my Nicki Sim, the first one was FUGLY compared to the new one. That means that all of the advice I was given really worked and I thank you all for helping me in this process. I still need to fix her but I think she looks a whole lot better than before.





I need to fix her chin, her neck, and her head width (I feel it's a bit too wide), but alas I can't find a slider for her neck or head, I just found a chin slider that should help make her chin more square... Anymore advice on the new Nicki? More pics below. I included some of her bald, because I find it helps me to have my Sims bald when I create them.

Side Note: I've noticed when looking at many photos of Nicki, I've never really seen her ears! I found one and saw that she has disattached lobes, whereas EA has all the Sims have attached lobes. Any fix?

No please! As you can see from the top, advice really has helped! I welcome it! And yeah, I love being a Barb!

*Jaw Drops* She's so recognizable! Already!

1.) I would advise to somehow make her full eyes and at least part of her eyebrows visible, be it by lowering the face or changing the hair. Her eyes and brows look really great in the bald pic, I just wish you could see them in the reg.

2.) Her chin looks very short. Like, it should be a little more elongated. But really, just barely.

3.) Somethin's up with that skintone... Did you custom-make it? Because the scalp was not edited while the face was, so there is an awkward line at the top of her head. If you want, I can suggest some other Barbie-like skins that have smooth edges. Because when she's downloaded, the skin will be downloaded with her, and some people don't want any semi-complete skins in their game.

She's looking really really good. Maybe make her chin a tiny bit longer and I think her eyes need to be just a shade darker. But other than that I think she looks amazing well done

Divoply has a great Nicki in the works aswell. He/she hasn't been on in awhile though.
