Those "things" are walls, or rooms really. We just shrink them to half or less size using the "constrainfloorelevation" false cheat. So it's basically one level above the actual home's level that's flattened. Anyway, I'm just wondering how strict are the 8 picture limit for submissions are enforced? I noticed that some entrants have more than 8 pictures. Is that OK? I'd like to add at least one more pictures of my entry if possible, but don't know if it is allowed. Plus which area would points be deducted anyway for "too many screenshots!"? Then again maybe the 8 pictures requirement is another challenge, we have to "sell" our house to the judge using only the pictures allowed. |

If you refer to the foundation-high things on roof, they're called friezes I quess. It was stated that using them is allowed as they're only for decoration. You can create them by using constrainfloorelevation false cheat, there are plenty of guides in youtube and MTS. |

@BGatot: you're not limited to 8 pictures, you can have more depending on how many floor you have. If you have more than one floor then you can post each one on separate image. |

Umm, so it's OK to have more pictures of your house in general, or is it limited depending on the number of floors your house have? Mine only have 2 floors... |

No, not of your house in general. Just the floorplans. You can put the floorplans in a collage or however many separate pictures it takes to show them off. But that is the overheard view. You have the 3 bonus pictures to show off extra rooms or different angles of the living room, kitchen, bedroom or outside. |

I've seen a couple people do it. I am actually trying to get mine in now. I have some work (mainly landscaping) that needs to be fixed so I am working on that, hopefully with some lovely help.

Hey guys! I'm going on an overnight rehearsal trip! I'm an hour away from my theatre and since I have two nights of rehearsal in a row I'm staying out there. I'll be back on Saturday, if I don't find a hotspot where I'm staying. Good luck finishing your houses guys!

Hi guys! I'm having a little problem. When I add the "[IMG]" code to my post, the image won't resize automatically! The pics are all 1000x750 and are stretching the page quite a bit. The weird thing is, when I refresh the page, a couple of them at random are resized! Its messing up the look of my presentation and I'd like some help. The images are hosted at imageshack because I didn't wan't sites like photobucket to resize them when I upload them to the host site. My post I'm having trouble with is on page 9 and post #210. Thanks for all your nice comments and help so far! |

I don't know if it's helpful or not, but I am using Tinypic - I find it Ok. You just copy and paste the image link straight into your post and it allows you to select a shot size. Btw - love the house revisions

Hi, I’m Emilie. You must be our new neighbors, nice to meet you. I know why you’re here, you must be intrigued by our house, everybody is at the first. Maybe you would like a tour; OK follow me. We renovated this old factory to make a loft. As you can see this is the front view, we wanted to keep the atmosphere of the place so we let the brick facade. The factory is from the early 19th century and it was quite in ruin when we inherited it from my old uncle. ![]() Let’s take the helicopter so we can have a sky view. The lot is a bit small but we have plenty of space in the house, we have three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a kitchen, dining area, living area and we even have room for my desk and computer. Oh, yes I know, we have a train in our garden. But don’t forget that we’re living in a former industrial place and when the factory was still running the goods traveled by train. We don’t have any use of it but we can’t get rid of it because of the pond that had been formed near it. I almost forgot we only use EA's object in this house (no CC). ![]() This is the first floor where we have the bedrooms and two of the bathrooms; we don’t like to have visitors in here but maybe we could make an exception for you. ![]() This is the ground floor where we have all the living areas and a bathroom so our guests don’t have to go upstairs. ![]() Let’s go in the house now. I think you will be surprise to see that the interior is very modern and colorful. My husband and I wanted to make a modern feel for the interior to contrast with the monotone of the exterior by putting lots of bright colors. Here is the dining area. I like the colors they give some light to the room. ![]() This is the living area. I warned you that the interior was colorful; but frankly who wants a boring interior of black and white. I want a playful house. No, you’re not mistaken this is a real garage door. That’s another reminder of the original use of this place but we kept it because when it’s open we have a great view of the garden. ![]() This is the kitchen, not as colorful as the living isn’t it but I love those colors together they give a luxurious yet homey feel. ![]() Ok I’ll let you see our bedroom, but be aware that I’m making an exception because you didn’t flee when you saw the living room. Nothing special there but we kept some walls like we found them. Actually, we kept a lot of the walls with the original bricks. What you see behind that wall is our bathroom. ![]() Thank you for visiting our home I hope we will see you again. Good bye. ![]() |

I like your house a lot, Llihnae! Somehow the design just appeals to me. Love the landscaping as well. I'm just not as good with landscaping. Man it is loud on the inside though! ![]() What do you use for that shelving by the dining room? |

My entry for Round 2. This pueblo house is a contemporary take on traditional pueblo's. ![]() The living room is modern but with a southwestern flair. ![]() The kitchenette uses traditional southwest tiles with modern counters. I think the two styles mix well together. ![]() The master bedroom proves to be both modern and very relaxing. ![]() The main bath uses traditional southwest tiles which blends in nicely with the modern style. ![]() The backyard boasts a big pool and little courtyard areas to rest and relax. ![]() Here is a pic of one of the little courtyard areas complete fireplace. ![]() The floor plan 2 bedrooms 1 full bath No CC just store items. ![]() That completes the tour I hope you enjoy it as much I did building it and decorating it.

@Fairycake89: thanks I also love that train. @Alan_Gast: I have the same problem as you and it's messing everything I've made. Maybe I'm the one who messed something but that's just the second time that I've taken pictures for the sims. @BGatot: thanks but you're wrong it's not loud it's colorful

I love both your houses easypeaze and Llihnae! Such cool concepts and buildings. I especially like the factory style Llihnae. And your roof and interior Easypeaze, it looks so warm and welcoming. I'm thinking I might upload this R2 house. Never tried before and I don't know how strict the upload rules are

NickelNicole12-The cabinet is from the Hacienda Luxury set from the store, as well as the rest of the stuff. The banana and pineapple dish is in the sun & surf collection(which I hope to get all of at some point). The cabinets are in the surface area. I can't remember the set name. |

This time, I present to you the beach house of Thomas (red haired) and Flynn (blonde), two young guys who are just starting to climb the career ladder and who actually only want one thing: to enjoy life! Easy enough with a beach house that has a stunning vista and a large pool. Thanks to Thomas's father, the two can live their dream by the sea. He, being a big company boss, paid for everything. Thomas took guitar lessons since he was ten years old and now plays in a band and has regular local gigs. His dream is to become a true rockstar. He also likes art and supports unknown artists by buying their work (hence the many paintings in the house). Though Flynn cannot understand Thomas's passion for art, he does understand that it can pay off to possess paintings that could one day become famous and valuable. He is also a more romantic type and is actually looking for a nice girl he can later marry. His best friend Flynn is almost the opposite of Thomas. He is a party animal and is the one that introduces Thomas to all kinds of people. He's got quite a repuation as a womanizer, but with the perfect place to party, it's not hard for him to get to know the hot chicks in town. But Flynn can also be disciplined - he took on a job in the military. To keep himself in good shape, he takes a swim in the pool every morning at dawn. The two friends definitely like their new home! overview ![]() front view ![]() kitchen ![]() Thomas's bedroom ![]() the bathroom (where Flynn is getting ready for a date) ![]() the hallway/entry ![]() the garden/pool area ![]() view from the porch through the big windows ![]() ---No CC was used on this lot---- ---All pictures on the walls are painted by Sims--- Just a note: I am aware that there are other lots that used part of the foundation as flower boxes, but honestly, I only saw them after I finished mine, I did not steal the idea from anyone. |
