Something like Hugh Lunatic's fix for Origin 'fixing' lighting files that works for all the different mods that go in game files.

Grumble-grumble stupid now what else goes in program files after re-installing (got CEP, only took two days to remember, got Rugs Off-Grid . . . oh, World lit by Fire. Wonder what else I forgot . . . what recatogorizers was I using? I have several stored . . .) Grumble. Takes forever to get it right. Oh, granted, I'd still have to do this after a reinstall, but it'd be nice to have it, well, recorded somehow and automatically re-doable.

I've always wanted a mod that allows motives to be adjusted for individual sims on a lot. Something like Boiling Oil's Need Freak, but with options to work on individual sims instead of everyone.

Simblender does that somewhat as does the Sim manipulator, well empty, half and full.

Or you can have the testingcheats on and drag up one sim's motives and not another's. Not an option if the hood's buggy, of course.

Yeah I use the testingcheats to drag motives every now and then. It would just be nice to have a mod that was monitoring a single sim, so I didn't always have to. Another thing is to edit the decay modifiers in SimPE, but with that it has to be done out of the game and in order to undo the changes while playing you have to exit the game and redo the modifiers in SimPE. It isn't a good option if you just want to quickly adjust motives temporarily. It would be nice if there was some way to edit those decay modifiers while the game is going. They change when picking lifetime aspiration rewards for motives, so I've always thought there would be some way to tweak those modifiers while in game.

I'd like a Trick or Treating mod where you put an object by the door or wall (similar to Echo's Easter bunny mod) and kids come up in costumes.

Haywud, I was right; it's insim. I think I have others as well, but insim does it for sure. You have the option to select one person or a group. You can choose minimize, maximize, 25 or 50%. I hope that's what you are looking for. It is not supported, but it works well for me and I have UC. I have a lot of mods, but I don't have inteen and inteen conflicts with a lot of things, so use with care.

After building a winter lot with the ice rink, then spending many hours decorating it I had an idea. First off, the snowman hat does not fit the head properly and needs a fix. It goes down a bit too much leaving a little separation between the brim and the top. That got me to thinking about a few different bottom, middle and head sizes, along with a few more facial expressions to create snowmen families. Maybe a scarf, a pipe, sort of like a Mr. Potato Head, except with snow. It boggles the mind once the ideas start popping up. In real life, I have always been creative, but sims creating is just too much for me. Next time in game I'll take some snapshots of mine and post them.

After looking up some cut features to bring up in a conversation with a friend (mostly to laugh about there actually being a "watch play-in" interaction), I realized I'd really love to see a hack that restores an interaction I just read about: "the talk." Sims 4 has it and gosh, if I could see my poor teen sims in ts2 hide their faces in embarrassment while their parents sit them down to talk about WooHoo, my day would be made. Though the shoplifting, breakfast in bed (perf for mothers/fathers day, might I add), and "bad grade phone call" all seem like things I'd love to see back in as well, but "the talk" seems more possible since it sounds like it could probably just be one sim talking and the teen reacting negatively or something.

Mayhaps an "everyone sleeps through the night" mod. Due to the way I play, it's easiest on everyone if my families go to bed at seven, but then they wake up around 11 or 12 if I don't go and manually tank their energy bars around 10. Which is annoying. And because of my social class rules I don't want to just buy them cheaper beds--those are for the /servants/!

@StrangeTownChick

There are sleep through the night mods already but they kick in at midnight, maybe someone can adjust them for you.

"TODDLER SLEEP THROUGH NIGHT PATCH" is from 8pm on and if you look at it you maybe able to set the other one to the same time. http://www.simlogical.com/sl/Sims2P...2_Childcare.htm
"ELDERS SLEEP THROUGH NIGHT PATCH" http://www.simlogical.com/sl/Sims2P...s2_Sleeping.htm

As for kids - adult as long as the needs bar is not full and they can go to sleep and stay asleep after midnight they will stay asleep till 6am.

As for 7pm sending sims to sleep really does not work for kids - adult with out tanking there needs for sleeping for 4 - 5 hours and there need is filled, I use the Sim Blender tank there needs all at the same time.

The sleepclock might be what you are looking for but I have never used it so I really can't tell you much about it. http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/s...php?topic=208.0

I'd love to see a "build structure" type mod, similar to what's in the Playstation version of Castaway where the sims actually build the walls and roofs of their shelters. Then my pioneer sims could have actual barn raisings, and my architect and contractor sims would really have something to do.

I use this, especially in big households like my halfway house and orphanage. It won't do what you want. What it does, is you set the time you want the sim to get up, and it will automatically make them go to bed at the appropriate time for the energy level of the bed you assigned them to, so that they will wake up on time. So if you have a level ten energy bed, it may send the sim to bed at two am, but a level one energy bed might be nine pm. If your sim had a date mid afternoon, they will stay up later because their energy is higher.

When the sim wakes up with the sleepclock, it will push them to use the bathroomusesyou hack if you have it mounted in your bathrooms. Each sleepclock handles two sims, and it will not work if you have more than two bed slots (two twin beds or one double) within the room the sleepclock controls. (That Pets floor divider stuff is what I use around the sleepclock and its beds so I can have big dormitory rooms.)

I wish there were more lot creators who focused on community lots. I enjoy the occasional build, but I much prefer to play or create other things. There are so many community lots I wish my hood had, but don't have the motivation or inspiration to build. It'd be nice if I could find more of them as uploads so that I didn't have to build them myself

N99 Forums has a lot of community lots. http://starlightsims.yuku.com/ also N99 forum paks http://n99forumpaks.jfade.com/index.php

In the "POBS 2 - N99 File Sharing Forum!" is where a lot of them are but you can ask for community lots in the "Sims 2 Where Did I Find, Where Can I Get?" and they will either give you a link or email them to you.

Peni Griffin is doing another hood that has a bunch of community lots in it and could use you to test them out in your hoods to see how they work. http://modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=553757

Thanks for the tips Marka. I already have Mootildas lots, I use them all the time. The first part has me confused. What is the first link to? You say N99 both before and after it, but it appears to have nothing to do with N99. And it leaves me on a "you must log in to see this"-page.

It feels a little weird to download a hood in creation progress and strip it's lots, but if it would help to have them play-tested then sure, I can check if there's something there my hood could use

@gummilutt , there have been a few threads over the last few months where people kicked around ideas for lots in different types of neighborhoods, and it seemed like lot creators (like me) got lots of good ideas from that... not exactly requests, but kind of a similar vein. It might be worth making such a thread for whatever type of neighborhood you're looking at- you may get some inspiration for your own builds, or some other creators may find inspiration and make them themselves!

As for me, I would love to see mannequins for each gender and age group that you could assign outfits to- I know there's a few from the IKEA SP, and people have made mannequins with specific outfits, but having one that could be changed to any age-and-gender-appropriate outfit would be so useful for clothiers and department stores!

@gummilutt the first link its the forums it self which is called Neighborhood 99 Sims Forum and you must reg. to see the forums.

The 2nd link it open to every one.

Old Town has community lots based on Sims 1.
Riverside hood has 6 community lots with 4 of them parks.
The 4 hoods done by the Hood Building Group has some also.

Here is the link to all the known hoods but it has not been kept up since Mootilda passing. http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title...t:Neighborhoods

A hack for CAS so when you click the pacifier the hair is a cut that shows features. So it's easy to see ears and forehead.

Hm... You gave me an idea for when I'm more in the mood to build. Perhaps I could have a "community lot project." I have tons of community lot ideas myself, but I have yet to see anyone else build them! If you don't mind me asking, what are your ideas? Maybe I'd be interested in doing them... sometime... in the future. When I don't hate building with every fiber in my body. (I find this hilarious, actually, because I'm going to study architecture in university. Yaaaay!)

Haha! I know what you mean though, when I have too many lots to build I get really sick of it. Currently in that phase, which is why I wish I could download more of the lots I wish my hood had :P

I didn't really have specific things in mind, but I'm sure there are lots of really great things in peoples hoods that one doesn't think to make. And if they do get made, it's often littered with CC which I don't like. I want to pick my own CC, and getting it via lots is hard to keep organized. There's a lot of potential with just maxis stuff.

But just thinking out loud, I wish there were more academy-like lots, where Sims can go learn skills. Makes sense that they aren't that common since community skilling requires a mod, but still! But not like huge lots with ALL skilling objects, more focused around a specific thing. So maybe a musical academy with instruments, and a concert hall nearby. I have crafting hobby focused lots, but haven't made much around music. And I'd like more family-directed stuff, like what you asked about in Stupid Questions. I have a massive child store, selling all kids items as OFB business, but I realized I'd like one where the kids can interact with the things. Kind of like a fun land, where you can go if you can't afford/don't have the space for toy-stuff. Other stuff would be libraries, gaming cafés, museums, restaurants intended as OFB businesses with themes (like, only intended to serve dessert, or grilled stuff, or what have you). Basically everything people mentioned in reply to your question

Seeing as I only got 4 or 5 hours of sleep last night, I had to do a double take on this bit in your reponse.

You and I have really similar ideas, actually! I'm using some shell building I found online as the base for all my university's buildings. The fine art building has music, art, life drawing (AKA some college kid gets paid $2/hour to stand on a table naked), photography, fashion & architecture design, sewing, toy design, florist studies, uhhhh... I can't recall what else. The medical building will have the career rewards (plastic surgery, the surgery dummy, etc). That sort of thing.

When I get the desire to build again, I'll try my hand at building some more community lots (particularly with minimal CC - I now understand the frustration of downloading horribly ugly CC through lots!). Probably more things will get done as I begin to play Aridia more. I still need to download more CAS CC to finish the Sims! And the university lots! And then I'm done! Aaaaaa! (exclamation points!!!!!)

Yeah, I need sleep. I'm getting to be too silly right now.

Have you looked at Brainania by Mootilda? I use that as my Uni and there are many tiny separate lots devoted to a single thing like that. If you like those you could move them to the lot bin and place them in your own hood.
