I think - she just has to have a home office
My story's mother was in the education career and she will go back to it since the kid is at school, and will work web designing after hours, since she is a single parent and can do with an extra income - and she rides a motorbike. A silver Moto Guzzi road bike. Even though that is not in my story

This round is kicking my butt. I've been trying to come up with something for the Lamberts for a week but was stuck. I came up with a few layouts, but the roofs were just so blah. And then the three story versions came out looking too boxy--not to mention I was worried I wouldn't be able furnish the thing properly! For some reason, the tree house kept eating a big chuck of my money. At first I tried making a swimable lake, but that was getting expensive and took up too much space. So today I researched a bit and got some ideas. Then, even though it was already time to go to bed, I stayed up to layout my ideas. At least now I know if this version has a shot of working out. Here's what I got so far:
I decided to get rid of the third floor to save money so the house is a bit more cramped than I'd like--the bathrooms are all 2x3 for example. I normally don't like to go smaller than 3x3, but I think having slightly larger bedrooms makes for easier playability. For me anyway. So it's looking alright (I hope!) but I'm torn on how to furnish it. Without CC, it's really hard to find the right things I want to use. The lack of open-underneath modular stairs in the right colors, matching white fences, and little to no one tile options are particularly frustrating. It'd also be nice to use some custom instruments and save the family money or use recolors in the bathrooms! I might have to furnish two different versions and see which I like better. I just hope I can finish on time.

I’m not sure I would have put the toddlers in with the two boys – they will wake them up! I have no idea where the family are putting all their pots and pans because there are no cupboards! There are some areas that are a little too empty – the hallway and the parent’s bedroom. I would’ve used some of the foundation for a terraced/verandah area.
Jo: I really like how you made a working ramp for your tree house. Random object spotted. Can you mention it in the picture text.

Comments: This is a very charming home! I am digging that sunny yellow brick with the blue roof. The exterior is very well done and the interior is great as well – layout and decorating all within the family's wants and requirements. The one thing I find a bit odd is that the bathrooms are right next to each other.

Comments: I enjoy the interesting pool shape and the bedroom colors, which very much remind me of the beach as does the bathroom floor tile. I also think the awning is a nice touch. I think the roof angle is interesting. Here's where I get a bit...well...judgy, and sorry in advance if it comes off harsh: I think you figuratively shot yourself in the foot by showing winter pictures or even mentioning the season because if you would have just said they live in a year-round warm temperate neighbourhood, I could have believed that the outdoors eating/serving area was really all they needed, but I am not convinced as indicated, in your own exposition that they will willingly sit out in the cold/snow and eat the food they claim to love so much being barbecued if it's just going to get cold a minute after it is served or force their guests to eat out in the cold, not to mention if he specifically goes to Twikki in the cold months to escape it. It just seems like a convenient cover story at this point to explain away the fact you ran out of budget for a decent kitchen with a small dining table. So maybe next time you run into this issue, don't over-think it.

Comments: No firealarm. No porch railings. I would've walled (or half-walled) off the unusable upstairs space. Though I like your pretty potted plants all around, I think some real gardens would've improved the outside. Is the bathroom floor from Castaway Stories? (I didn't take away for it, but am wondering…) Terrain paint should've been used too, I think.

Comments: I like the beach feel that you have going here. I’m not too keen on the internal layout as there is far too much unused space. The pool is an interesting shape but rather large and very exposed to the rest of the neighbourhood

Comments: This is a very beautiful home! I'm loving the short-angled roof, and the blue and white façade. Everything pulls together really dang well! I see all requirements and wants attended to, and am overall impressed with this build. The one thing I will say to think about is how the office is placed. I know it's supposed to be only accessible to the parent but a jail type door is kind of overkill and if there really were spaces between those bars, the office would be exposed to outside elements. In addition it's always kind of awkward when a sim has to go outside and back inside to a different part of the same house, especially if they live in a cold environment where they need to switch in and out of outerwear every time. Rather, I think a better placement would be connected to the parent's bedroom, if you could partition off some of that back porch and adjust the kitchen exit, it could still be inaccessible to the child but have a better flow between rooms.

Comments: I love the exteriors you used – and making the shed like a barn. Cute! I don't think you need the back wall of the living room – this is a 'ranch' style house, and the inside should be a bit more open, IMHO! Thank you for using safety railings. Comments: The exterior colour scheme is lovely, an interesting shaped shed too! Cute pathway with the flowers leading to the shed I like the flower boxes on the windows – very pretty. I’m not sure I would want to work in the office during the winter months with the wrought iron door – it could get rather draughty. Please take your images with the walls up! It makes it really difficult to see where rooms begin and end when they’re down and I can’t see what is on the walls in the top down images!

I think the lawn with the pool looks great! Everything is decorated splendidly! While you have a punching bag, an exercise bike, and a radio—Jo said a radio 'plus a 'yoga mat' counts so I took off half a point since you were missing that yoga mat, the last half of the requirements since you used a radio for a workout equipment.

Comments: The thing I like most about this house is the shape of it, interior and exterior you have some very nice and practical use of diagonals which is interesting. Decorating is pretty minimal, there are some playability issues I can foresee such as: 1 - There's not a changing table for the toddlers, not even an inside trash bin, so the parents or teenagers are going to have to make a trip outside every time they want to change a diaper or else leave it on the ground. 2 – there are six people who would eat at the table and only five dining chairs, so someone will be forced to sit on the sofa during meal time if the family eats together. 3 – You have a balcony on the second story, rear of the home but no door to it. I think you could have benefited taking in the walls and creating a full wrap-around porch, that would eliminate a lot of the empty space and give you back some funds to use to decorate and make the house feel more like a home.

Comments: Walls UP, please. No Toybox. Missing a dining chair/hi-chair. No door to upper porch. The wall placement just seems awkward to me. IE: instead of putting the girls' closets back to back – they could've been side to side with walls separating them – that would've eliminated 2 empty squares. There is plenty of space to have all the bedrooms upstairs.

Comments: The treehouse fort is well made and I like the sandpit for the children. The house seems quite empty and there are not many items for the children to play with or do so although you have all the ‘wants’ they are not quite there as there are not many decorative or other items in the rooms. You have two toddlers but no high chairs for them. I think you would’ve been better to have made the house smaller. I’m glad you have used proper counters in the kitchen though, at least your family has somewhere to store their crockery! Please can you leave the walls up when you take the topdown images next time so that we can see what you have on the walls and what colour they are.
Jo: I like the interesting shapes of your rooms. I looked twice through your pictures hunting for the random object, the The Wanderfall kids picture, but unfortunately I can't see it. That means -5 points, but at least by using no CC you gain it back through the No CC bonus. Make sure your random item can be seen in one of your screenshots.

Comments: This is a great muscle-builder bachelor pad! I'm really digging the kitchen more than anything, love that wall paper with hints of red and the black and white. Hmm this is the second Evans home with black, white, and red I wonder if this guy just strikes people as a red, black, and white type guy? Anyhow, overall I really like it but here are some things I think could have made this even better: 1 – I feel your chess would have been better suited outside and your darts inside. The way the chess is placed looks a bit awkward, aesthetically it would look better under the stairs but we know that wouldn't be playable, but it would have been possible to re-arrange to work it; for example, moving the table in the corner under the stairs since it's just deco, moving the bookshelf to the corner and then the darts to where the bookshelf is 2 – Your living room area light, the round one is dangling in the air hanging from nothing! Watch out for that trickiness, when building loft-like homes; rely on floor, table or wall lights to avoid that 3 – Playability wise, it's kind of awkward to have a tv and nowhere to sit and watch it. I know you are going for a workout tv area but your dude bro is going to turn it on and watch sports on his own someday and then slowly drain his comfort standing there. A cheap chair in the corner would remedy that – perhaps even moving the dining table against the wall, leaving two seats (since only one sim is meant to live here) and moving one of those red chairs into the corner of the workout area for sitting and watching TV would do the trick since you are a few simoleons away from your budget limit. Just a few thoughts, but overall it's a really good job!

Comments: Would I have my sims live here? Probably not! But did you hit this out of the park? Yes! The exterior is exactly the recycled aesthetic the Rhodes wanted/required and I can clearly see the trailer part vs the jerry-rigged portions for the open space studio and upper bedroom. I think you are excellent with roof-wrangling to get it to look unique and look good. The art studio looks fantastic with the added camera and drafting desk. The landscaping is great as well! I feel their bedroom is a bit empty but the way you present them in this flavor makes them seem the type to not really care about possessions and the rest of the house is done up enough to not feel like it was just lack of budget that prevented more interior decorating in the bedroom. Great job building for this family and their wants!

The yard is nice and big and the dog statue is a nice touch for the something special requirement. I adore that you had paintings of the family scattered throughout to make it more personable. The only thing I think could be improved is that your easel is way out there right under the pine tree and I don't see a gate nearby so the sim will have to go alllll the way around the home to get to it instead of through a quick gate to the rear.

Comments: Wow! I love this house shape and the way it is laid out with the half open walls of the bedroom with a dressing screen to the very large kitchen/tea area. My absolute favorite part is the little garden/relaxation area and while the whole place feels earthy there is also a hippie zen feeling with hints of the asian décor that I dig as well. I can believe that they'd have a small fridge and just eat fresh fruits and veggies, and fish they catch from their pond instead of storing a lot of it. Nice touch on the metal inlaid with the wood in that tall portion of the home that almost looks like a chimney stack. I don't see an easel anywhere which I interpreted as a requirement for painting. I see a possible playability issue where they really have no indoor space to sit down and eat. There is one chair in the entirety of the home; I suppose they could go outside for every meal but that would start to get cold if you have any month besides summer, and considering it's a cabin style home, I assume it would get cold. I don't understand what is with the room connected to the guest bedroom, I assume it's a bathroom? I just can't see any bathroom things from bird-eye view on the second story. The upper bedroom is very big and very sparse on the upper portion—make sure you try and stretch your budget to the very last simoleon if you can. Otherwise I think this is a fantastic home, well-decorated with the flowers and pottery, and I really love it!

Comments: There are a lot of great things about this home and there's a few things that don't mesh as well as they could. First off, the yard is freaking gorgeous, that little Elliott kid is gonna be out there collecting butterflies all day in those flowers, and holy plumbob I am straight up jealous of your ability to make straight terrain paths – they look wonderful! The house shape and build is interesting, I am digging your diagonals and the first floor layout and interior decorating. I would give a little Italian-like kiss of perfection at it if I was the relator. Once I get upstairs my enthusiasm takes a dip though; I think the repetitiveness of the first floor windows on the second floor becomes a bit grating, the parent's room is entirely too bare bones. I know you were tight on budget but here are my tips to have recouped some money: get smaller windows for the second floor, also remove the garden fencing from your home's balconies and replace it with something more appropriate for balcony/terrace fencing. It's lovely for the ground level and actual garden but looks awkward on the second story. With this money back in the budget you could have looked into a cheap dresser or wall hanging to give that adult bedroom some more pizazz. Or maybe have put something in the shed that indicated the parent worked on bikes, it's rather empty as well.

Comments: So you went with the old line down the middle type bedroom for the girls eh? It's funny, I imagine the goth one telling her girly sister she has to pay a toll to leave and enter out of 'HER' door and the girl one squealing in annoyance. Just a word of advice though, carpeted ceilings are awkward and hard to vacuum and I am sure they could have agreed on an uniform ceiling. I like the fort you built, and the inside looks like a fun little hidey hole for the kids to play in. I like your family portraits hanging around for a personable touch. Thank you for including a changing table, sometimes that is overlooked but it really makes a nursery more complete. Also it's great that you included seats for all members able to sit at the dining table. So you have two bathrooms but playability-wise, where the heck are they going to bath the toddlers since there is no tub? I think this is a decent attempt, it's hard to build for six on a budget of 35,000 but you met all needs and requirements. When building, keep in mind your room shapes because a majority of them are quite boxy.

Comments: No tub. No stair railing upstairs. Traditionally in a 2-story, bedrooms work better upstairs. This build has a lot of awkward unused space. You have plenty of room in both bathrooms to add a tub – how are your toddlers going to get clean? Next time you build, try placing your furniture first then building the walls around it. If you have leftover 'foundation' use it for a nice porch. Don't build up unless you need the space. If you'd saved money using less walls, you'd have been able to decorate more.

Comments: A pleasing build. I like the layout of this house although again there are quite a few ‘empty’ looking areas – the hallway especially. You have two toddlers but no high chairs for them. I like the division of the teens room but why do you have carpet on the ceiling? There is some nice landscaping here too. I like the idea of the upstairs living area but I feel there was enough space downstairs for that. I would also be worried about falling down that stair opening too – Health and Safety!

Comments: I will say you have a very creative solution to James' needs to move everything to the roof and I do really like your landscaping and your interior decorating is great, but I think the concept falls short. By moving everything outside, you essentially cut off James from any work out related activities in inclement weather. Electronics (like the radio) shouldn't be left outside where they could be rained on, at least some sort of extended flat roof could try to protect it. The campfire setting on a wooden deck doesn't seem like a good idea either. I do like the 'reminders of greatness' detail you included and that room with his mementos looks great. I LOVE that his diploma is in there, don't see many of those used for deco so far. As I said, your interior decorating is fab with the white, black, and gold motifs and little details sprinkled throughout the bedroom, kitchen, and main room and I appreciate you gave it gamble with putting everything on the roof but it didn't hit the mark for me.

Comment: Interesting house. Not sure I would quite like all that stuff on my roof though! And a fire pit on a wooden balcony! You’d better have a fire extinguisher close to hand in case there is a fire! You have used some interesting workout equipment though, thank you There is a lot of empty space downstairs. I like the internal colours schemes And this poor guy has nowhere to store his provisions, pots and pans either!

Comments: First off, I really really appreciate that you put curtains on like every window. Thank you and gold star. I think your interior deco is great for the common rooms and meets the needs of the family just right. The garden is decent for catching butterflies but I wish you could have had a tree, maybe just a baby one because the rest of the yard looks awfully empty—to get back some budget try deleting the driveway since they have no car and the parent likes to bike anyway. The build of it is where your score suffers, unfortunately; the rooms are supremely boxy, and I am not a fan of that half-wall being used on the outside porches, it looks outdated and gives off a jail vibe in my opinion. So in the future, make sure not to box out all your interior bedrooms/bathrooms – think of possible diagonal building or breaking up straight walls with nooks and the like. Try some fencing options for your porches and leave half walls for indoors, especially that kind and don't overuse it.

Comments: The outside is very blue! A bit too blue really, could do with something else to break it up a bit more. The porch roof doesn’t marry up with the main roof very well. I think it would’ve worked better if you’d used a gabled roof on the main part rather than the hipped. I like the colour schemes that you have used inside though in the bedrooms and office area. The individual sim’s colour tastes and interests really shine through here. The internal layout is good – no expanses of unused space here!

Comments: This house, at first glance looked pretty basic but it has a lot of little nuances that surprised me the more I looked at it and I think it's a really great lot you pulled off! You did a great job of using the found objects and mismatching everything slightly to give off that recycled feeling as if they go thrifting or dumpster-diving a lot for furniture that's not loved any more but not broken enough to trash. The highlight of the home is that studio, I love the sun-room feel to it and it feels like it would be a great place to create! I enjoy the garden and flowerbeds, the diagonals used on the interior walls, the decorating, and especially that stage tool to create a shelf of sorts in the nook. GREAT way to utilize that. I don't really have any critique or suggestions for improvement, so I leave you with a solid 'job well done!'

Comments: I really like the sun lounge effect that you have built oh and the window seat. The rest of the house just seems rather empty – loads of empty space. The roof needs some more work as the pieces don’t join up properly. I think my favourite room has to be the crafting room with that colourful dresser! The garden is pretty but it all seems too lined up. I think I would’ve made the house area smaller and the terraces bigger.

Love the colors! Very cheerful and retro and has that free-loving feeling. The decorating on every level, indoor, outdoor and room-wise is rich and beautiful. I adore the wild-flower garden and butterfly boxes and the exterior definitely has a sense of recycling to it. The furniture seems recycled or rather has a crafted feeling about it so it looks like they buy second-hand or hand-make/re-purpose it themselves. Again, the build of home gets a bit boxy outside of the open floorplan, so watch out for that, maybe build a small diagonal wall or a nook in the next bedroom or bathroom and you can put a dresser or end table in to break it up.

Comments: I love the interesting build and structure of this weird old house. The interior color palette doesn't jive and suffers from too many different colors. I think you should have stuck with one scheme, probably the violet/yellow combination as seen in the kitchen and living room walls; the bird room is orange and green and then everything else is beige or brown, it's not coming off as harmonious. Outdoor-wise I really really like your landscaping and love the special thing for the dogs is the sprinkler, which can be very useful for a doggo on a hot day, as long as the smell of wet dog is not minded. I like the interior decorating as far as items and placement goes, disregarding the color—it all fits and allows good flow and meets the requirements. From a pet/textile technical aspect, probably should not mix cat litter boxes with carpeted rooms and spring for hardwood or tile to reduce mess, also avoid long curtains because kitties with claws would climb and shred those in a heartbeat, at least in my experience.

Comments: Brick, stone, timbered walls, storybook windows, country windows, and modern plateglass… oh my! Your roof is fine – a bit busy, but fine. And, your room layout is good too – but, again, the 'style' is all over the place. Nothing pulls-it-together. A timbered house suggests an older house – which of course would've had add-ons and improvements made over the years… But, even looking at it from that perspective, it makes me dizzy. In future builds, please try to pick an overall theme/style/reference point (unless you're building for the Rhodeses!)

Comments: The build is easily one of the most interesting roof shapes, wall shapes and interiors of this round. I totally love the stairway and how you put the desk into the nook of it! The living room looks like a dance party dream! The outside is good with the barbecue area and pool, however there are a lot of balloons (and wedding ones at that, did Orris and Paul recently get hitched? If not that could be a confusing decoration for their guests to see-is it a wedding party/house-warming party?) that are being used to fill in the party requirements. While they are different balloon items, it would seem more robust to invest in a different caliber of party item to shake things up.

Thank you for all your effort, Jo
That floor can't be Castaway Stories. I have the UC and no decorative CC in my game prior to this contest, so I'm sure nothing can slip in by mistake. The required item were the lamps on the upstairs balcony, I'll be sure to mention it in the text next time.
You're right, Judge 1. I started planning a summer house and then the idea of Winter-BBQs came into it somehow (People actually do that here, though. They build tables out of snow and barbecue in winter. I hate it when my food gets cold, so I really don't like that. ). In my mind, they move the table indoor in winter or just eat in the reading corner.
I think I have decided to go with the Elliots house for next round. The Newmans just need a lot of work to make it meet the requirements and it feels crowded to me. I like it as it is, so they'll keep living there and I might show some non-contest-entry pictures. The bird and the fish have died in the first week of playtesting. I'm a horrible pet owner.

I don't really know what a ranch style house is, I live in Africa (I know what a Cape Dutch house is ) It may be a good idea to follow gazania's example and do some research, I guess.
As for the security door - it's a prison door? Hehe! We use security doors everywhere, shops, homes, offices - you ring bells to be admitted (high crime) - the idea was that she would be the only one to be able to let anyone in. There is normally a sliding door behind it here, but, of course, Maxi's did not make us one for that purpose. Perhaps the Open Me door would have worked then!
I have improved with 0.5 points
Be warned: there is lots of orange in my next entry

@Rosebine. Example.
Random object: Child's picture X shown here.
'picture'
First say what it is because given my memory issues I have to go to page one, open the family and check. Then I have to hunt through your pictures for the object. Both those steps takes up a little more time, especially if I am doing it for 19 entries. Your picture was easy to spot once I was sure of what I was looking for but not all are that easy.

@Rosebine @yavannatw anybody else. You don't have to edit the one just gone, the score is done now, it's for the future rounds. It's just something small that helps me get the scores up a little easier and faster. Same way that clear bolded headings help me find entries in your post histories for table linking and walls up help judges see what is what.
If you say Child's Picture then the catalogue name (X stands for the catalogue name), or statue X, lantern X , then I will know what it is. If you just said the catalogue name of that picture, Wanderfall or whatever it was I probably wouldn't remember.

:sigh: I see my taste in decorating/building is not liked. I don't understand the judges comments. My color scheme did blend well overall, and I also love the Storybook windows and doors- to me they go wonderfully with the house.
I learned nothing but our tastes differ. I kept the house in over all one color with accents- yellow and purple. Now I think I have to do a monotone house decor in a plan shaped house at odd angles.
Plus you all used to many RL references to a Sim build- of course the curtains won't get wet and yes Sims love the smell of wet dogs- they won't have so many pets if they didn't.
I'll take this house down and build again.
*I still should and do want to say Thank you for taking the time to do this- judges and host!

Your house is pretty, Sweet Mystre - do not take it down!
Honestly, most of the houses in my hood will never pass the MTS upload criteria - and that is fine, because I like to play them anyway This is they way one learns how judges think and how the mods at MTS look at possible uploads - and tastes differ, and I assure you that, if not for the patience of one mod in particular, none of my lots would have made it to MTS - but she kept sending it back to me and said: "Change this. Change that. Change this too. Change that too." And I have to admit that my lots looked better after I listened to her, but sometimes, one really has a reason to not agree with something, and a right as well - and you can feel free to say that and to stand by that. I would not advise you to go and build a boring house that you will hate next time

@Sweet Mystre Don't take it down, it's a cute house. The shape at the front, the roof and the Tudor all look great. I will agree with the judges that the story book wall covering there doesn't go well outside. I also like most of your inside colour scheme. You got scores of 23 from each judge -that's a good score and one I would be happy with.

But I'm not really looking at the score- but the comments should help me know what they're judging and it seems to me it's my taste in decorating- which I've always known is not my strongest part of building.
I feel it's cohesive in colors inside and I love the windows- That means I can't actually win if I can't agree with the judges or me see if their way. I actually really liked that house. Sad, yet true. So, it leaves me not knowing how to do better if we can't agree.
So, what I find Wonderful, they'll find too busy and wrong. That's a bad feeling in a contest - from my point of view.
I don't have to win them all, I just have to be able to SEE a chance of getting to the top- which I don't. No hard feelings to you all- it's a taste thing.

Could the Judges say what is missing in the "Wants" if given less than the 5. That might help. I am sure I put in all the required elements for all the Pets- I know I did, I went through all the options and made sure- plus I did for the Sims, too. So, what is missing that the Family would "Want."

Sweet Mystere, did you still not catch that you're one of the top scorers here? You have plenty of space to win in. You need to learn to shrug, and stop letting small negatives eclipse large positives. Then you'll be able to learn.
For my own part - that kind of porch along the back of the Rhodes house is called a gallery and doesn't have railings, on the one hand. On the other hand, galleries are usually found along the fronts of cabins with no foundation (and often, no floor!) or on a very low one and I didn't bother to learn to lower the foundation, or explain the feature, so - shrug. My score is still nice and high and I've got a house I love so it's all good.
Nothing in the comments I've seen makes me consider changing anything about how I built my Lambert house, but I've been too sick to turn the game on for the last couple of days and have no usable pictures. So far I'm feeling better this morning so maybe I can get them done without exhausting myself. I suspect nobody'll like my treehouse, but the Lambert boys do, so - shrug!
Ugly is in the heart of the beholder.

Look, Sweet Mystre - I once built a lot for a competition. I spent hours on it and I got a good score from the majority of judges - but there was one who felt that my lot was just thrown together in a hurry I just left it there, said nothing at all. Yet - I am perfectly happy with the number of downloads that particular lot has
One has to move on at times, because these things happen. Yet I like your individualism, and in the long run it may pay off well.
It took me 3 or 4 competitions before I finally won a round (it was the last round ) - and I have not won a competition yet - it really is not about winning for me, one picks up a lot of knowledge during competitions, and they are not always related to Sims 2 building skills. I find this one extremely hard - I am not good at building small lots at all. So I am simply going to try to see if I can improve my score with every round. (And I am learning to build small here, which is a win in itself).
Do I agree with what the judges say to me? Very often I do not - I sometimes feel the reality comes in the way of fun. I think some of us are players first and builders second, and some are the other way around, and never the twain shall meet Reality here where I live is obviously different from other places too, I cannot see how my Sim can have a problem walking two steps to her front door in the cold when real people catch trains and buses or walk a lot further to their parked cars in order to get home after dark in the middle of winter. Is it going to bother me? No. Is it going to change the way I put in doors? Not a chance. (But I will refrain from using the sliding door as a front door again - until the end of the competition and only until then .
Get well soon, Peni
William is right - it says nothing in the rules. Yet it has seemed to me that it does count to a degree - from various comments from judges, over time.

Do you all not see- it's not always about the score. I'm at average- I can take that. I read the comments and I don't learn but am more confused. So, I'm Moving on. I love hearing that~Thanks for allowing me to leave comments here and for being patient with my new-ness. :cookie:
There are only 2 more builds, right?
Are these judges ones who judge upload qualifications? I've never tried to upload a lot here so I have no idea what Upload Quality/Qualifications are needed. I only have 1 upload from way back in the TS2 days when it was on my TS2 bucket list.

Please some of you calm down!
When the standards of the entries are very high (and I believe they are), the differences between top and bottom will be very small. No matter how high the standard, someone will still finish bottom. The judges' job is hard, trying to distinguish between high quality buildings built in different styles and embodying different philosophies. Some judgements are bound to be subjective. Don't make their job harder for them. They are just human like the rest of us! I'd rather get "nul points" and be told my house is rubbish than lose my temper over it. Never demolish a building that you and your Sims like, because a judge (or anyone else) doesn't like it. Remember it's a game and games are supposed to be enjoyed.
This contest is supposed to be about having fun! And building community spirit. Let's be an example to our Sims and show some community spirit ourselves!
Loosen up! Chill out! The Rhodes are inviting you to join them at the bubble blower. Then enjoy a relaxed drink at Justpetro's bar!
Hugs and kisses all round!

Look under Create - Creators Guidelines above
It may be not written in the forma rules, but I regard the following as upload guidelines:
- Not a box
-Realism
-Safety issues (stairs should have railings - we all know Sims don't care about them)
-A pathway to the front door
-Some landscaping
- Decorated
-Playable
and we are being judged on those.
There will be more than one drink tonight, Andrew That bubble blowing makes people thirsty!

Pfft- @AndrewGloria - Don't be going all nice and sunshine in a Community Spirit Competition. XD
I'll be doing that, "Don't you try and kiss me" animation and "Is this Sim crazy?" gesture- if you try any of that.
I'll head to the bar, again, as I consider how to build with the Storybook windows and wood for this round.
