Default Age Group Ages?
Did you ever what approximate age (in human years) each sim was?
I always thought thae baby stage was around 3 months, the toddler stage about three years. The child stage anywhere from 8-11 and the teenage stage always distinctly struck me as being 16. Dunno why (Maybe it has to do with the fact that I AM 16... ) The YA stage always struck me as being 20-22,and the adult stage around 30,and the elder stage about 60-75

I know the age stages are meant to be vague, but thats what I always thought. Anyone else? or did it strike you as something else.

PS: English is not my first language, so I apologize for any mistakes I may have made...

I've always thought if you play them as one stage for a long period of time then you would say they're getting a little older but I think new born babies are about 1-16 months old, toddlers are about 1-5 years old, children are about 6-10 years old, teenagers are about 11-17 years old, young adults are 19-20, adults are 21-40, and elders are 50-90. thats what I've always thought while playing the sims.

My impression was that 1 Sim day = 1 "year" (though babies and toddlers don't fit in) and I found it so ridiculous that Sims become "elders" on their 54th day. I'd prolong the Adult stage to at least 65 days; then you would call Sims as elders without offending them

amora_selvagen - Not sure you can... you could have your sims drink the elixier of life. But in a good mood.

You could also turn aging off, but then they stay at the same age for the rest of their never ending lifes.

Well, in my game, 1 sim day is equal to a year, because I put in custom ages with Inge's hack. So in my game, here is how it rolls:
Babies-0-1
Tots-2-4
Kids-5-10
Teens-11-20
Adults-21-54
Elders-55+

Yes, I understand the elders should be older, but I don't need them sticking around too long.

I've mentioned it before, but I've tweaked it a bit. I believe the age groups are:

Baby - 0 to 2/3 months
Toddler - 13 months to 3 years
Child - 5/6 to 11
Teen - 12/13 to 17
Young Adult - 18 to 22
Adult - 23 to 49
Elder - 55-60+

There are some missing years because I don't think any age adequately portrays those years.

I just figure the toddler age is when human toddlers are annoying and get into everything, and the kid age is when human kids never shut up and are annoying, the teen age is when human teens hate the world, and so on..>.>
