Default Business as Usual Bistro is on daily deal
Much to my surprise and excitement, this venue is on daily deal for the first time (as far as I know). So for those who have been waiting around for it, it will be on sale in 2 hours. But of course daily deal's time will vary, so have a look out.

The time now is 7:14am PST.

I know some of you guys don't think store content is worth the money, hence I only grab them when they are on sale. I post this for those who do really want the premium content but don't want to pay EA too much. And daily deal goes by very fast.

Edit: The Duke of Bow Renaissance Fair is currently on sale for 1083 and will go fast. So I think the Bistro will come in less than 1 hour.

I work for a living, but I don't necessarily live for a working.

And it'll sell out in less than a minute, if the previous two rotations are any indication so if you're wanting to get it, you'd better be ready and grab it FAST. This spreadsheet put together by someone in the daily deal thread on the official site is very useful.

My god, it was sold out in seconds. From the time I refreshed page to the time I clicked and confirmed purchase and ... it told me I don't have enough points (which means I don't have enough points for the regular price).

I guess that's good you didn't have enough simpoints...if you had clicked on the 'buy now' button and been charged the full price, yech. The one venue I have (the casino) was purchased during the Black Friday sale. I only used it once. I have no interest in any of the other venues, though I'd like to get some of the PC items if they ever come on sale again. I refuse to pay full price for this crap and the simpoints I do use are all from the free ads.

Sorry you didn't get it but there's a high likelihood we'll have at least one more rotation through this list. There was an issue with New Zealand & Australia not being able to buy simpoints and a guru said once that issue is fixed they will run the list again so people in those areas can get the current deals.

This set still gives me nightmares... I'm in a town, and people start plopping everywhere, and suddenly above me is one hundred popups saying that a chef can't make it today. In a certain moment there's so many random chefs around the town that I just drown in chef hats!

I still ended up getting the item. My boyfriend called in telling about the "lightning fast" sale. They would help out by giving me 1300+ points. So now I can buy the item at regular price

As much as we talk down at EA's overpriced crap, their customer service is awesome.

That's probably something they do to a very limited number of customers like a once in a lifetime chance, just hoping they will write it on sites like you just did

Sorry, but their customer service is terrible. Remember SimCity?

Don't mention your customer service person's name, tomomi1922. They will probably get fired now for being an overachiever.

Gosh, this thread reminds me how I felt trying to get Lollapollooza tickets this morning. Couldn't get through and they sold out in a hour.

I was wondering what the fuss was about this till I checked and realized this has the stove in it. That's what everyone really wants isn't it?

Not so much the stove, but the gameplay attached to it. Somehow, the fucked that up.

Ani's Business as Unusual fixes the issues with this set, but you need the set from EA in order to use Ani's mod. That's why I wanted it. Luckily for me, I managed to snag it the first time it came up in this round of daily deals.

I've seen a couple of new sets of stairs based on the Prism Art Studio landing staircases; but, again, you have to have the EA originals used as the base for those re-meshes. I just wish somebody would re-code the cottage half-landing staircase with the Prism Art Studio stairs as the base to fix the weird way the sims walked up the cottage stairs... but you'd probably still have to have the EA stairs in your game. (The cottage stairs used the spiral stairs as their base, which was why the sims walked up them weirdly.)

Is it really that hard to make them go up a staircase the right way? Isn't it just animations? we've seen tons of those already.

The oven + the gameplay. Add the fact that the oven's not for sale on its own (in the store at least) and the Daily Deals sale meant the whole venue was less the price of the oven on its own, and you get something that vanishes in a flash.

The Rotation List that you linked to in S3Forum really helped me get the sets I wanted - they have the sets that go quickly (or at least in less than the allotted time) marked. Last week I happened to check when I got up around 6am and saw The Duke of Bows was coming up, but I still had to sit there waiting because you can't always know when the previous offer will end.

Business as Usual Bistro is on Daily Deal again in about 40 minutes. Get ready, this time it will sell out in less than ONE MINUTE.

I have it already. But I want to see if this one will even last 30 seconds. Last time it lasted 10 seconds.

UPDATE: It lasted about 5 seconds (I have 2 browsers taking turn refreshing to be more accurate).

Wow, I actually managed to get it...but that was an insanely quick sale. I don't think 10 seconds cut it.
