Default Newport.. A Bridgeport redo... Guess I need some help....
Hello everyone here.

I have been totally remaking Bridgeport,
I kept the basic layout but added land, changed most of the paints in the world, kept most of the roads but fixed them/added to them and checked routing issues.
Once the world was ready, I added buildings and I did a custom everything.
All scyscrapers are kinda functual (the hight is fake, still just 5 playable floors)

I have been working on this world for over 2 years now..(yeah I am kind of an perfectionist)
It has taken a LOT of work to get to this point and now I am quite happy with the layout and especially the skyline.
I wanted Custom everything for this world.
I use the lunar lakes rabbitholes where possible (in a cellar under the lot) for the world to have rabitholes but I have a problem.. the lots start to look the same.
I kinda favour old buildings so there are plenty here.

I could use some help if someone is interested..

ofcourse oppinions and remarks are welcome, tips and hints to but realtime help (as in beta testers/ builders/decorators/simmers/ would be awesome.

I know this world need some modern lots, and the (plain) buildings I have in world, need paint/ windows.

However it also need interiors to existing buildings (like the museums) and I need 4 more sims (or families) including lots (or interiors to an existing one)
and the big park needs some functions to its lots..

anyone willing to help?

to help : ill send you the Beta- world file and I guess if needed my CC map to.
and youll specify what you wouyld like to help with..
As long as you will not share it (yet) without my concent as it has taken a lot of work.

Honestly, after 2 years of building, it is time to play in this world.. I surely do need Help!

Here are some preview pictures to show what I have done to poor bridgeport..
to show what I have done, all the plain buildings need some paint and interiors.. to let you know what still need to be done

ofcourse some beta testers would be welcome to.

If you remember me, I'm awesome!

It looks amazing! I imagine it's going to take a lot of time/has taken a lot of time to furnish all those buildings. Would it be possible to see pics of the interiors of any finished lots? In the album, the house in Screenshot 121 looks amazing; very much Elizabethan or Jacobean in style, I'm curious to see how you'll furnish all those larger mansions/lots. Which Expansion Packs and Stuff Packs have you used? And roughly how much CC have you used too? I'd be interested in helping, but I'm quite limited as to expansion packs and CC.
I wouldn't rush to finish the world if I was you, perfection should never be rushed, Bridgeport was an incredibly ugly duckling, I've even made a start clearing an rebuilding it with much older biuldings. But it was too much for me to handle. Already I can see that you are doing it justice, so keep up the hard work.

Looks amazing! I think we can all tell that the amount of time and effort you put into this creation is remarkable, and it shows indeed.
The only thing I want to point out...
Bridgeport was basically a boring, grey, little city. It's nice that you added some spots of color (like the blue shores) but in my opinion some buildings are just too bright, skyscrapers in particular. In real life, some houses can have crazy colors, that's true, but tall buildings and skyscrapers usually have de-saturated, earthy colors. I would go for grey, light browns and i would avoid such bright blues and blacks.

Other than that the world looks great and I really want to see some interiors, in particular of that white chateau-esque mansion on top of the hill!

Me, me, me against them, me against enemies, me against friends, somehow they all seem to become one, a sea full of sharks and they all smell blood.

I have at the moment 6 houses furnished, the Palace, and gardens (exeptfor the wings),
the mansion of the landgraab family, the Matell house and one apartment in the downtown area.. ill take some pictures.
That mansion is Vayne manor, it is however just a shell without interiors. it will house Bruce Vayne, a milionaire/superhero ;-)

I have all ep's and stuffpacks installed, and they use CC but mostly building materials.
however if you do want to help, and dont mind giving it a try, i can send you the world to see what happens..

Thanks for the comments.. the blue and black you see are the windows.. i have tried to make them look windowy.. as you cant get windows for 34 stories ;-) the rest of the colours are based on actual (or broken down) scyscrapers such as the Sinnger building.

ill upload some interiorshots of the palace :D

Wow, that's a lot of work! Looks really impressive, I love the changes and the additons
The turquoise water creates a nice effect, but in my opinion the edges of the turquoise part with the deep blue look too straight in some places, for exemple in these pictures:

I think you should soft them a bit more

I can not agree more, but in game they are better than on these pictures, this is from quite far, in game they grade quite soft.

I have some streetview and some interior shots from the palace, i took the liberty of adding some of the palace itself to.

AAH! I love the Victorian houses! I think you could tone down the pink one a bit, though Where did you get these windows from?
Also if you have more than 4 pictures to show, put them in Spoiler tags and in one post, double posting isn't allowed.

I don't have too much input here, just wanted to say, that I think the skyscrapers are fine, colorwise. To me, they don't seem to bright. There's one building in one pic that seens very blue (at the harbor? I can only see it in one pic), but that's it.
Now, more importantly: where is that gorgeous chandelier from?? :O

Oh, and by the way - I would like to help, but I really do think the files would be too much for my comp to handle. It looks ... big. Is it possible to share single lots or something?

I used blue to make them look like windows, in game they look better, promise :D

It is possible to share single lots, but i do not recomend it, I build every lot to match the ground it sits on and the sizes are not standard.

best to do it on this worldmap I think.

I found the windows but they're pay content which isn't allowed on MTS. I really like them, though.

*sigh* Date says September of 2013... about 9 Months without any updates. I am fair to say that if there hasn't been any fresh updates after three months, the thread is dead. Your question won't spawn updates and I am quite sure it's not out, but if you really want it maybe a quick google search can help.

this tread is not exactly dead, I am still working on this city however real live, a new business and the restoration of my classic car had me occupied otherwise.
I am still working on this city but it has been a slow and long process.

So sorry about not updating as much as I should have but bare with me it is still here.

I could use help with the interiors if people would be willing to help.

Kind regards,

Erwin
