Default WCIF a "Children can stay home alone" mod?
All I need is to be able to leave children home alone without the mean old social worker noticing. I'm okay with latchkey kids (but not babies/toddlers).

The "I need a babysitter" button made me stay home from work. I hope that staying home from work that first day doesn't cost my Sim-self his job, complete with bad memory and Fun motive crash. Of course, I cheated myself into it, and I can easily erase an "I'm Fired" memory in SimPE.

If there's no such mod, I'm tweaking the ages in the story side and playing my side story first so that I can choose one of the side-story stars as the live-in babysitter for my Sim-self, and then my other single parent household will be living frugally, skilling up, and grinding out relationships until the kid is a teen.

Funny, I actually searched through that list for "nanny" - only saw things that made the babysitting AI a little less stupid. Thanks!

One thing to keep in mind is that if you have BO's Kids and Pets Unattended mod in, Babies and Toddlers will also be left home alone while both parents are at work. I use Merola's Multi-painting to keep their motives up while the parents are gone.

It won't work if kids and/or toddlers are already in the home. You would have to move them out, place the mod in game, then move family back in. It does work with no problems. Like Orilon says, you can max motives for the youngest. If only a toddler, they can take care of themselves with the right items. Bottomless bottle, sleep blanket or toddler bed and toys. They won't answer the phone or door to strangers either.

I've never had a problem with premades and BO's mod working. I have had mod conflicts with families that exist because of Inteen (teen or YA parents). But just a regular family in a regular neighborhood, I've never had a problem with the mod not working.

I did not say there was a problem with his mod, it works very well. If you read his post, he suggests it won't work if you add it and children are already in the house, you have to move them out and back in. Your littles ones should be safe then. Best to read his wording exactly to see what he suggests to do.
