Default Continental food
Hey all! WCIF some European food that can be found on the mainland, such as pain au chocolat, kanelbullar, lebkuchen, bierwurst to name but a few. I have tried searching the internet and MTS but I cannot find anything to my liking.

I'd like it so that its OFBable too. If not, I don't mind. I find there is a lack of continental food in TS2.

The drop off has been made. You've been warned.

Thank you both <3
I'd like some more not relative to bread now! I'll keep searching...

What, Europeans don't spend their lives snacking on Brioche? j/k

This person has all around the world foods. I remember at least Greek and Italian for European foods. Definitely worth a look.

Sure is. Japanese food, Indian and Cajun are also there. Definitely used in my game.

If you used the Cajun food I'm curious; did you find the cornbread buggy? Mine kept showing up in a menu by itself and appeared at the wrong time of day.

To be honoust I never really paid attention to that. At what time is it supposed to be there and when not?
I do remember vaguely I let sims make it a few times, but I can't say for sure it appeared separate on the menu or not. It might, though. I just started another new custom hood and all this mentioned food is put back in. For the fun of it, I could check how the cornbread is behaving.
Will report the findings later.

That would be helpful. I ended up removing it because it was annoying me.

Bienchen:

click on "hacks" in the sidebar, then "foods" in the menu that shows up

She has a presence at MTS too, but the food here is Thai mostly. Butr you might be interested in these new food stands, which have a tendency to be more European in flavor: http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=493689

Yes I have downloaded some of Bienchen's food - and they seem to function better than the ones of TSR!

Bienchen's food isn't Thai food, but has Thai translations for menus (along with English and German). I'd say she's got a lot of european foodstuff.

She has rolls with honey, baguettes, salads, canapès, and various soups and dinners on her site.

Thank you simmer22, those titles on her food confused me. I thought it was the actual food that was the Thai translations!

@Charity, it took a bit for the cornbread to show up as none of my sims had any skills yet.
What I saw was indeed a separate choice on the pie menu as a lunch item.
My Sim Zita was hungry at 06:30 in the morning. I checked if I could find the cornbread, since she now had 2 points for cooking.
And there it was. Available at the crack of dawn as lunch, lol.
Maybe it was meant to be separate?
It doesn't bother me and since this whole family ate every plate of cornbread available, one of them might already have decided this is favorite. Haven't checked that, but I let it stay.

It also shows up for dinner, but in the normal menu with all the other cajun foods. I guess the menu is just borked lol.

Without the custom food I would find the original food menu rather boring. So, as long as it causes no other issues than an extra option in the food menu, I'm good.

Yeah, I'm probably hypersensitive about what it might be doing in the background lol.
