In real life you get flowers before the date even starts. The date can end up being crappy or dream date worthy, but you're still getting flowers before it starts. But in the Sims they won't waste their money on a dozen roses until after the date and they know that you're a dream date. The sims might actually be smarter for doing that.

We all know that sims can do a billion boneheaded things, but what other things can you think of that sims are actually smart for doing their way.

But the trouble they go through for a bag of poo for a, um, crappy date...!

At least the person won't be in the dark about whether the date went well or not. A bag of poo is a clear sign that he's just not that into you.
