So I've decided to give the Sims 3 a little time to grow and mature and, in the meantime, decided to give the Sims 2 another try. I never did much in the way of modding when I played before but I realized when I started playing The Sims 3 that mods made the game infinitely more enjoyable.

So I ask you, oh gurus of mods...what are the "MUST HAVE" mods in your opinion? I generally prefer a more "realistic" game experience...it's a life simulator I think it should simulate life (to a certain degree...can't nor do I want to have complete realism. Aliens and magic are all great as long as they help me tell the story :P), so any mods that help that are priority for me. I'm basically looking for things that are generally accepted as the creme de la creme, like Awesomemod seems to be for TS3.

If nothing else, this should spur some interesting discussion :-P
