Default Castaways
First a statement... If Castaways allows you to build (sims build hands on) like it's shown in some screenshots of the console versions then I'm in!

Now about the release date...

http://thesims2.ea.com/about/sims_stories/index.php says Winter (I assume since life stories came out in Feb 2007 they mean winter 2007)

http://www.thesims2.co.za/component...tpage/Itemid,1/ says 22 October 2007.

http://sims.yahoo.com/ says winter 2008.

I wonder who is right? Any guesses!?

The october release date might be for the console games. I'm very exited about this one!

Castaways for consoles is coming out before Thanksgiving, so I assume that's the one with the October '07 release date. Sims Castaway Stories for the PC is coming out in "winter 2008", whatever that means.
My newest downloads are on Simified.
Older downloads and stuff that didn't get transferred to Simified are on my Livejournal.

I can't wait for it, it will be first Sims Stories i'll get and it comes for pc in 2008?

What I've read it that the 2008 release date is their fiscal 2008, so it may be out for the PC as soon as December...

According to my pre-order, the games ship on October 22, 2007. Castaway is for console only.

I believe the OP is talking about Castaway Stories, not Castaway. Castaway Stories is for PC..

My apologies. I think you're right. I guess it was never very clear to me that Castaways is NOT the same game as Castaway Stories which is coming in 2008.
