Default WCIF: Careers with deadly Chance Cards
So with such a large hood, I'm looking for ways to cull the herd a bit so to speak. I vaguely remember reading a post somewhere about a custom adventure career with a deadly chance card. I've dug around but I have yet to find any of them.

Does anyone know where I could find any such career?

I don't know where to find one. I'm quite experienced in creating careers and I never saw something in SimPE to make a chance card deadly.
What's the purpose for this? Should the sim die at work while getting a chance card?
I might be able to make a career so that when the sim is at work his motives are all droping extremly.
It might have the same effect as killing him, but I'm not sure it's possible with chance cards. I can test it with a career though.

The outcome settings with careers that you can alter are skill points and cash plus getting the sim fired. Dropping motives (to kill) isn't an option.

I no longer come over to MTS very often but if you would like to ask me a question then you can find me on tumblr or my own site tflc. TFLC has an archive of all my CC downloads.

I went on another research binge (much more manageable than my download binges) to find the original post. It took some serious keywording but I did find it! And I feel a bit dumb for not remembering it fully.

It's not the actual career that can kill sims. It's a random roll that someone added to the more dangerous careers (criminal, law enforcement, adventurer, etc.). Sorry for being a pest. I will be happy if anyone tries to make such a career though!

Well as I said before it's not possible for a chance card, but I will look at the motives of the levels themselves.

The vacation chance cards can drop motives can't they? I wonder if they could be reworked for careers.

I don't know if that's possible. It's not that you conect chance cards to a career. They're kinda included and you make them appear or not.
Where can I find those vacation chance cards in SimPE anyway?

No problem, but then I guess it's only possible with the motives per level to let a sim die during a career.

@SweetSweet I heard about the request to give up the post I found. Here it is at Lakeside Heights: http://lakesideheights.blogspot.com...rules.html#more

I've been digging around in this blog for other simology thoughts. This particular post has finally helped me sort out some wealth, college and career issues.

I know this wouldn't be perfect but you could always add a note that the sim is killed to the text of the chance cards and then just kill the sim manually when they get home.

That might be the best solution.
Per level of the career you can set motives to lose or gain when at work, but lowering hunger almost to death might kille your sim without a chance card appearing during the workday. Or you should manually use the cheat maxmotives everytime to avoid death.
And when killing the sim manually after getting a death chance card gives you the change to choose the way the sim dies or if you have second thoughts, not killing the sim after all.
