So... I discovered that this mod has been storing the sliders very weirdly since simmythesim's original, and to make the mod store the sliders in the same place as CAS hotspots do, it's necessary to migrate the slider data. I've added the following commands for this: migrate_sim_sliders, which migrates 1 Sim's sliders, and migrate_all_sliders, which migrates the sliders for all Sims. I strongly suggest you run migrate_all_sliders, verify nothing weird happened and that your sliders are all set to what you expect, and then save your game. Note that it will add sliders together if you used a CAS hotspot from the mod and also changed the same slider in any other way, so especially verify the sliders on any sims that you did that for.
The mod previously used sim_info.facial_attributes.face_modifiers, which still applied the sliders visually even though CAS hotspots put the sliders under sim_info.facial_attributes.body_modifiers (where they should have gone all along, due to the SimModifier Region being FEET for all sliders). So this update now only writes to body_modifiers. Also the Regions on the SimModifiers have been changed to actually make sense.
This update should also fix the bug that heights did not copy across occult transformations (e.g. werewolf form). I wanted to make this copying optional via config option, but the HeightStat logic would be too complicated, so it's mandatory - all occult forms of a Sim will have the same slider values. If you'd like a change in this area, let me know.
This update also adds a randomize_default_heights command, which randomizes the heights of all sims (subject to the RandomizeHeights config option) whose sliders (from this mod) have never been touched.
You can find further documentation on the main post.
Please post a reply here if you experienced any of the above issues in previous versions, and whether they are fixed in this one.
Btw, would anyone here happen to know how/why the bulge slider only applies with certain clothing equipped, or why it renders differently even among the clothing it does work for? It's something on the .package end...
Just spent a really long time doing half/half method to find out this mod was causing some kind of catastrophic t-pose issue in my game after the feb 2024 update. Love this mod, hope it gets updated!
