Default Frameworksetup not working
So I recently downloaded the sims 3 from origin and updated it. I followed the installing instructions and for some reason nointro.package and nobuildsparkles.package aren't working. I re downloaded the frameworksetup and everything but the intro still shows up and the sparkles are still there when I build stuff. Is anyone else having this issue? :c

This would have suited better in the Help -forum but... Well, in what path did you place the Mods folder and did you remember to delete the cache files before opening the game?

And did you get the Framework package from here: http://modthesims.info/wiki.php?tit...Setup_and_Files or some other site?

I downloaded the framework package from that page and extracted it into the electronic arts folder, and the mods folder is in the same area. As for cache files, I'm not really sure what those are >_>;;

And my apologies for posting in the wrong forum, I wasn't really paying attention as to where I was posting my topics

No worries. Okay, I'm a bit confused. "It and the Mods folder in the area"? Two different folders?

The cache files are in the Sims 3 folder; CASPartCache, compositorCache, scriptCache and simCompositorCache. It's the same Sims 3 folder as where the Mods folder is, in My Documents -path. Whenever adding mod files into the game, you must remove at least the "scriptCache" or they won't work because the game won't recognize them. Or if you take something out of the game and don't remove cache files, the game believes you still have those things in use.

The game will generate new files so it's safe to delete any of those files.

Ah, that did the trick! Thank you so much
And I meant that I extracted the frameworksetup to the electronic arts folder and not to the sims 3 folder haha. Computer stuff is not my forte as it seems :P
