Currently my Legacy town involves only two buildings: the legacy house, and the insane asylum where my founder started out his life (it's now a haunted community lot :D).

Eventually it'll have (just off the top of my head):
at least one bowling alley (probably two)
Restaurant Row
a public library
a grocery store
at least one clothing store
a couple of parks

My neighbourhoods tend to have the same type of buildings, but not generally the exact same building, unless it's out of the lot bin (and if it's in the same 'hood, meant to be a chain store).

Cresdale (main 'hood):

Toy shop (owned)
Robot store (owned)
Dance Club
Music Club x2
Clothing store (the one which came with FreeTime)
Roller rink (the one which came with Seasons)
Mini-mart (small grocery store)
Swimming pool
Graveyard

Danport (shopping sub-hood)

Mini-mall (containing grocery store, games room, clothes store, library, hairdressers, and a playground)
Swimming pool
Coffee shop
Church
Nightclub
Bowling alley
Produce stall (home business)

Hillside Bay (shopping sub-hood)

Dance studio (one of my sims will be hosting Tai Chi lessons there every Tues/Thurs)
Roller rink
Massage/Sauna

Arcadis (downtown)

Mini-mall (containing a pet store, clothes shop, mini nightclub, grocery store, games room, massage area, hairdressers, and a small food court...what can I say? I like mini malls :P)
Magic shop (home business, yet to be set up)
Train station

Danport College

Swimming pool/gym
Nightclub/bar
Coffee shop/music club

There's also a couple of schools in Cresdale/Danport/Hillside Bay for story purposes, although I've only taken pictures at two so far.

My Prosperity 'Hood, Angelos Town, has a roller rink, coffee shop, general store, recreation centre, bookstore, massage and sauna, hangout, flower store (owned), clothing store, makeover store (owned), graveyard, a park and a beach lot. All but the makeover store, flower store, park and massage and sauna are from the lot bin.

Angelos Town Prosperity updated 11th June 2012. | Albion Falls BACC updated 25th April 2011.

I forgot the cemetery LOL Ghosts make my houses lag horribly so I always have a cemetery, especially for legacies!

The last Sims2 neighbourhood I started to work on had a hotel & restaurant, grocery store and pet shop, library, public pool with spa and massage center, mall type building with clothes shop, arcades, coffee shop, and hairdresser. In another hood I had a jewellery shop, a comedy club, a pub, a marina, a promenade, and a casino. I really miss them.

I've been spending quite a bit of time on the downtown area of my new neighbourhood recently- in fact, I've worked on it more than the neighbourhood itself! So far it has:

-A bakery/restauraunt
-A clothing store
-A grocery store (with some clothes and video games)
-A hair salon (also a place to buy perfume and jewelry)
-A nightclub
-A cemetery
-A coffee shop
-An (unfinished) art gallery
-A spa

There are also a couple of homes and empty residential lots which I'm planning on building up soon.

I'm planning on adding lots to Merry Isle. It even has it's own Sim run school!
Merry Isle has at the moment:
~School(s)
~A park.
It needs a lot more.

Hmm, I'm too busy with my big multi-family hood (I play each lot for X number of days in turn) to mess with community lots much. I think I have:

--A church/cemetary
--"King's Gardens"

Um...that's actually all that comes to mind right now. It's a fantasy/medieval 'theme' so I also can't plop a mega-mart in there. But now I realize I really ought to at least put a park in there--my houses get a lot of walk-bys when I play each family but now that everyone's getting to know each other a more communal area would be cool.

Began with the template for Takemizu Village

There are windfarms EVERYWHERE. So obviously, no Apocalypse happened here.

There is:

- a grocery store
- a clothing store
- an art gallery
- an organic vegetable stand (w/fish)
- an elemetary school
- a high school (3 buildings on one gigantic 5X6 lot)
- a furniture store
- 5 (3x3) lots
- 3 (5x5) lots (these contain legacies.)
- 2 (1x3) lots (trailer park)
- 4 (3x2) lots (starter homes)
- 1 Retirement center (a group of 4 apartments on a 3x3 lot)
- 1 night club
- 4 apartment lots (2 of which are duplexes)

My legacy familys dominate this town, as they are the only playable sims. Everyone else is NPC's...and sim-selves.

Oh! and I almost forgot: there's a cemetary. Of course. None of the actual legacy graves go there, though. It's all the other playables. I don't let them have kids, because the neighborhood is already overflowing.
