Okay, I haven't posted on MTS in like, forever. So I decided to post some pictures of a new house I'm building in my new neighborhood called Shenorock Shores. The house has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.

lauratje86, those are lovely! I like the idea of starting with younger versions of the Widespot Sims
I have a quick question- Will the families be able to place their own cars on the spaces or are those the only cars they can use? My experience with apartments is that a family can only own a car if it is in a garage which connects to their property, which is quite a bummer since then the space in front of it will go unused.

**ETA** Sorry, I hadn't seen your post, Becky. Those would've been the only cars they could use, which is annoying :-(

I recently built a house for the Burb family (which in my game consists of John, Jennifer, and Lucy plus four additional members: triplets Jeanne, Lily and Kate and Dakota, the family dog). It's nowhere near as good as some of the houses on here (for one thing, I haven't done any landscaping. I don't like having to deal with weeds all the time, and frankly, a five-year-old could probably landscape better than me!) , but I'm pretty proud of it just the same! I used the in-game camera, so the pictures aren't QUITE as big as they could be. But I think they still show off the house pretty well, and that's the main thing! Anyway, on to the pictures!

I've been fascinated with wee TS2 homes of late.
Here are two of my tiny abodes on mini lots...

Those houses are flipping adorable!!!

I'm thinking of establishing some sort of legacy story and am building the history for the founder at the moment. (All this trouble to build a scene... 7-8 generations in the future. Talk about a massive undertaking. -_-) The need arose to create an "apartment" building where the rooms are the size of a shoebox. Specifically, it needed to be able to hold 2 elderly sims, 3 adult sims and a child. It's tight(as tight as I can manage to avoid SOME routing failure), and the in-law sister has to sleep on their rickety couch, but I'm pretty proud of it. No shots of the exterior; it's not excavated and a four-story high pile of bricks with no windows and one door.. except for the only inhabited level. It has windows. lol However the interior is government approved dismal brown and cave like!

All of these buildings are lovely and so impressive! I am not a very good builder, especially for modern buildings. I also used to have this thing where I was against having Sims live in the Downtown sub hood, but recently have enjoyed making smaller homes in my custom downtown Grandbridge City for my hood Springwater Station. This is an apartment complex I made. I apologize that for three apartments the interior is greyed out, but that is because I'm playing with the only family I currently have living there- Adam Piccolo, his girlfriend Ashley Carroll, and their two cats.

The front view doesn't show much (because of my crappy photo taking skills and the trees) except for Jack Carroll strolling by as he usually does five times a day, trying to make his ex wife's life miserable.

As you can see from the back view, the only thing there is a fountain and plants. Residents would have to go to community lots to use outdoor objects or place them on their decks/balconies, which are a nice size for a grill, bar, potted garden plants, or table.

Bottom Floor:
Left apartment: has a small foyer, bedroom, kitchen, full bathroom, living room with a fireplace, and a deck in the left corner. It's pretty messy right now since Adam and Ashley just moved in recently and don't have enough money to make everything fancy.
Middle-left apartment: has an open foyer and kitchen, full bathroom, dining room, large living room, deck, and a hallway with a staircase.
Middle-right apartment: has a foyer with a staircase, full/half bathroom (can be made into either), bedroom, open kitchen and dining room, and a living room with two fireplaces.
Right apartment (and my favorite): has an open foyer and kitchen, deck, living room, full bathroom, two bedrooms, and an extra room (has an arch, not a door so most likely a dining room or study).

Top Floor:
Middle-left apartment: has a hallway which leads to two bedrooms and a balcony.
Middle-right apartment: has a hallway which leads to a bedroom, back balcony, and an extra room (has a door, can be used for anything really like a full bathroom, small bedroom, nursery, study, etc.)

In their ongoing quest to appease or avoid the wrath of their resident ghost, John Thomas Orphan, the Bubblers have spiffed up his grave a lot. Too bad their efforts to get the city to move that dumpster have not availed.

They don't want to move from Mendoza Street, so they expand the original tiny house upwards. The ghost can't climb the stairs, apparently. Sam, a professional artist, has put her studio on the second floor where the ghost can't mess with her paints.

Industry Park, Bigg City, is a little bit neglected.

A young couple's home

Tried to create an elegant restaurant, where patrons are surrounded by plants and water features. In the picture of the entrance, desserts can be seen displayed on a table, and in the center of the dining area is a garden area. In the romantic private dining room, the curved windows allow views of the gardens and stream - beautiful day or night. Another dining area seems to float on the water, as tropical plants delight the senses.

Hello, haven't been on this part of the site in ages! I recently restarted playing The Sims 2 because who knows how long it'll take for The Sims 4 to come out for Mac. (still waiting on FreeTime ya know...)

Anyways, I started off building a starter house but I got way too carried away with decorating. I am hoping to get some feedback as I haven't built in ages!






It's nowhere near done, thinking about uploading it but I'm not sure. Don't wanna show off too much in case I do!

I've never really been a builder on sims. When I started up Sims 2 years ago, I would always just built a childish box with one massive bedroom and a bathroom. Thanks to the free Sims 2 Collection I've gotten back into the game and thought I'd make my own neighborhood (Primrose Valley). After suffering from a lack of inspiration I did a little browsing online and found the cutest dollhouse on google images; I just had to recreate it (or try at least).

Here's the inspiration:


This is the first house I've built using the CFE cheat. Took me about 3 tries, two of which I had to back out and come back in without saving because I blasted the ground so bad it was impossible to salvage. There wasn't enough room for a bathroom, so I had to build a little outhouse off to the side. I'm looking for a way to get some trim so I can go to the original colours. I'm also in search of a small window that I can slide between the counter top and kitchen cabinets, but for now I'm pleased. I just wish I could get the floor to not have a checkered pattern on the inside, but considering the height I don't think there's anything I can do for it.

So I have been on a bit of a decorating kick, installed a few OSMP's and I'm going crazy making lived in homes.
Right now I'm decorating a basic square studio apartment, this is what I have for the living room:



I have been trying my hardest to not use any custom content, but the ones I do have installed are all 3t2 conversions.

One of my favorite jobs was landscape lighting installer with the best boss ever, so I was pleasantly surprised that Sims 2 can do a pretty decent night lighting. Here is my current home downloaded from MTS by triciamanly.

I didn´t look in here since long time, and then I see a lot of people building Sims 2 again, and what should I say - I like it!

I am still busy with Sims 3, but never Sims 2 will be forgotten. It is still installed and sometimes I look into and work a bit on my small village there. Two weeks ago I made a visit and found the most houses finished or near to.

One building is some kind of old gas station and repair shop, but I don´t know, who occupies this lot recently. Have a look inside...
