@frankie:

Heh, the Candy Lalaland theme of this pack isn't anyone's "style" really- at least, not that I know of. In fact, the only other sweet/food-themed game I know of is SimTown, which is targeted for small kids- and even that isn't as pink/sugary as KPST. And I heard most of the stuffs in that particular SP have no other purpose other than being a major eyesore (i.e. don't have additional gameplay, animation, etc) anyway, so it's hardly any surprise that you won't enjoy the game.

Now excuse me while I disinfect my eyes and vomit rainbows because this shit tastes like diabetes...

@Frankie - what's worse is that it's not really appropriate for children at all. I mean -- many of the stuff is mildly sexually themed. I don't consider myself a big prude, but I was a bit grossed out by how many clothing has food being breasts or nipples or things pointing to the crotch. This true demographic is morbidly obese middle aged men who hire hookers to do questionable things with doughnuts and bananas. I think the combination of cutesy and sleazy is the worst part about it. If it were just a cutesy kids thing it would be one thing - if it were just a mild porn pack it would be another - but both together is beyond gross.

I agree with many of you. It truly is an eyesore. I feel like a diabetic already just by browsing through the CAS stuff.

Kewpie, I'm not a big prude either, but I was also surprised about some of the suggestive outfits. When I mentioned children in my last post, I meant the candy-themed objects for a playground or water park, etc. But yeah, sweets with a sexual innuendo can be a bit questionable to some people, much like having a can of whipped cream in the bedroom.

When you said that, I immediately envisioned some of the suits who run EA. Maybe it's geared for them.

Taming the KPST Clothing
Okay, so I was playing around with some of the clothes and hairstyles, and I did end up finding some stuff that actually has potential. I used a no-CC version of Sumi Brand by Gribbagabba from MTS as my model, since I've always liked this Sim. I have no idea where I got the lip gloss from, though, since it's been a long time since I downloaded it. (I think it was a fruity-themed Asian site). Anyway, on to the screenshots!

This gown actually doesn't look terrible in all black or all white. These two colors actually do the grown some justice:

Same with this dress:

I think this mini dress looks much sexier in black, and it doesn't look terrible in white either:

Even this male outfit in all black could have some potential if you omitted the hearts and graphic designs:

This is just a fan shirt, so I can't say it looks hideous in white, since it seems pretty standard, as long as your Sim is a Katy Perry fan:

This shirt, however, while the graphic design is cute for children, the message on the back side might say otherwise:

This is the only hairstyle that could possibly get some use out of me, as long as I keep the headdress in all black to reduce the visibility of the fact that it's a giant cookie nestling on top of the head:

These two hairstyles actually have some potential once someone takes an interest in modifying the hell out of them, especially omitting the silly headdress:

This one can afford a good modification to reduce the tentacle-like ends of the hair, and the headdress either needs to be removed or sized down greatly:

This just totally looks like a cheap Kmart wig for a last-minute Halloween costume, never mind the fact that the huge peppermint candy as the headdress resembles a drum, itching to be banged:

Sadly, the rest of the clothes, being that they have candies and pastries stuck on them, are not quite as tamable, regardless of the color you choose.

KPST Hidden Hearts for Men
Okay, so thankfully, the hearts on the men's pants are able to be hidden with certain tops:

I don't really like the gowns personally..maybe I'm somewhat old fashioned but I never understood the one sleeve thing and showing the leg.
however I agree about the mini dresses. they look amazing
I also agree about the male outfit. it definitely looks good minus the cutesy stuff. we all know EA is stupid but that stupid?! who with even half a brain would think to put cutesy with punk/rocker? I know people have different tastes but I can't see how ANYONE would like that. it's like night and day.

and that hat is a cookie? are you for real? I guess me not noticing it proves you've done a good job then.

I can't get over how plastic those hairs look.

Shame that Afro like hair has that candy thing in front. Or else it could be useable. I'm so disappointed in EA that they have not yet included a proper Afro In any SP or EP.

TS3 aliens? Finally! Now give us OFB and proper apartments, damnit! - EA, you are breaking my heart. - I give up.

Drakesecaravdis, yeah, it's a huge brown hat with dark brown spots all over it to mimic a giant chocolate chip cookie, lol. It just looks extra corny. As far as the gowns, I don't mind them, but I do agree that the mini dresses are much better and more usable in my game, especially for the Late Night bars. The problem with EA is that they never think sometimes. Rather than forcing us with a cupcake shirt for males, they could've at least included a plain version. Hell, even those glittery sections around the short sleeves could be okay for a glam-rock style of shirt because I have seen trendy shirts like that for males in real life. The mini dress at least has a plain option, since the other choices have pastries plastered all over them. Why couldn't the male shirt have such an option? And the pants... jeez... if only there could exist a version without the hearts and bows. I wanted another pair of pants with hanging straps like the base game one, only that the KPST one was perfect because it was slim-fit and not as baggy as the base game one.

Ive, I can see how the afro could have potential use because I, too, have wanted some proper afro hairstyles in my game, but I am starting to realize that maybe some retextures could also do the hairstyles some justice, provided that someone can figure out how to remove the headdresses. Or again, why not have both the original and no-headdress version? I can't even imagine what my Sims would like going to bed with those hairstyles. They'd wake up with an invasion of ants from all that sugar. Maybe these hairstyles and outfits will spawn more ants when your Sim is having a picnic?
