Default Rent per month instead of week?
For apartment that is...regardless of the life span. Does this exist?

For me every simsday is 1 month in realtime.
So rent everyday would be great working for me.

Both of those options should be possible; if someone can find one option as a mod, it should be possible to edit it to do the other (every 4 weeks / every day). I don't know of such a mod myself, though.
What I lack in decorum, I make up for with an absence of tact.
