Hey guys it's BabiHunni,

So as I have mentioned before I am really determined to empty San My as much as possible to at least give people somewhat of way to build the city their way. Like I'm from Chicago and I want my city in my game! I want to build all the nice buildings and the ratchet ones lol but I love my city and I hate that I am only limited to 5 lots and the rest are locked by penthouse/apartments or trying to find out how to knock out the buildings...idk why they made it this difficult or not an option to build in this game, but it sucks, but I at least wanna try and make it for everyone to at least enjoy a city that they want or put just that more realism in the game for them by everyone being able to make the city they live in, ya know? So I have screenshots of others "emptying" the other worlds but I cannot reach them, I have tried, and Idk where to start haha, thanks you guys, it just really sucks on how limited we are in building in this game! I LOOOOOOVED the build your own world and all that jazz! So, I believe we can do this, and I know, "Don't get your hopes up BabiHunni" but idc it's a new year, surprise me builders with your genius lol

Oh BabiHunni, this one is a challenge. The other worlds in TS4 allow lots to be deleted, so they can be replaced by other lots. A player may not be able to delete buildings in San Myshuno. Even if you could find a cheat to delete them, I don't believe you will be able to replace them. TS4 is so much more limited for builders. I believe it is possible to mod the background so the city appears different in the distance, but that is beyond my skill set. So, if you can't delete the current buildings, what ELSE would make San Myshuno look more like Chicago to you?

Yeah, I agree that that doesn't sound very realistic. TS4 worlds are all really closed down in this regard, but "San Myshuno", with it's awful, horrible name, is worse still. I don't think you can delete those buildings.

I suggested you go back in time to ts3. EA doesn't like having to work for food, so if you want options caw for ts3 is your best bet.

Do you have a link to that? Would be very interesting to see.

I put 2 links of what they did in the very first post I made, and I know about going back in time to ts3 bcuz it's sitting in my docs folder now with all the EP and SP with it lol I want ts4 to do this with my stubborn a$$ lol...idk guys I'm still overwhelmed that we finally got toddlers, but I jus wiiiiiiiish there was something I can do about this limitation

Silly me lol. It looks to me like they have deleted the EA buildings, that sure is useful for some people. The background is still the same, and the environment you plopp the house into. I know there is some backdrops available, have you checked them out?

Thnx...and no, but I will, and can you be a little more specific with what they did as I am new to modding, building, etc. and as I'm reading thru your messages, idk how to take how your typing, because it is just typing, but if you are low-key being snippy imma tell you now that I'm not the one. I'm just trying something new and being open with an idea and you may deal with a lot of other people with their ideas and some may be impossible to do and only you and these builders know that, but I'd suggest taking it down a notch with me and if it isn't even that, then I apologize for over thinking your text

BabiHunni please relax. Volvenom is not a native English speaker, as are many people you will encounter on MTS. She has a very straightforward way of speaking that may seem brash, but is really just honest. She is also one of the best builders I know and the only one of this group that has extensive experience building in both TS3 and TS4. You can learn a lot from her.

As I said upthread, even if you could empty San Myshuno, I don't think you could replace the buildings, unless and until a modder comes along and changes the way EA did things, which left San Myshuno even more restricted than other TS4 worlds. Until that time, a new background would help, and what else would make it more like Chicago to you?

thats why i said if it isnt that then i apologize and ok, at least i tried haha and idk...i just feel like everybody took everything from new york (the stairs on the side of the buildings, clothes, monuments/museums) and I feel like nobody cares about chicago like i do to put any references in the game besides clothes really but even that is minimal thats all lol

I didn't talk about SanMyshuno because I didn't see it among the downloads and it seems to me it could be much harder to do. My knowledge of this is rather superficial since I'm a builder. We don't have that knowledge in this group. You need to talk to modders and meshers about if it's possible.

When it comes to the other hoods I think it mate be a question of having an empty hood and then you need it to look like a city. The look is what I was thinking the backgrounds could be used for. This is all just suggestions from a builder though. You have to talk to the specialists.

I am glad we have that miscommunication sorted. The downloads listed by Volvenom above are made by a member here, and he says he takes requests. He also has a YouTube video showing how to make one for yourself. I know it isn't everything you wanted, but perhaps until a modder frees San Myshuno buildings, you could make or request a Chicago background. As a brand new TS4 owner, I would love to try a bit of Chicago flavor in my game. Let me know what you think.

There's just so many ideas! museums, the adler planetarium, all the way to restaurants, chicago firehouse, to garrett's gourmet popcorn, to a whole lot...UUUUUUGH EA BLEW IT WITH THE BUILDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR THIS GAME!!!! lol

Hooray- one step closer. I saw a Japan- inspired WIP. I think they were using an emptied Newcrest and adding lots with tall buildings. It looked great and I am searching for the link.
