This user has the following games installed:

Sims 3, World Adventures, Ambitions, Late Night, Generations, Pets, Showtime, Supernatural, Seasons, University Life, Island Paradise, Into the Future
Game crashes in CAS even with high specs and after trying other fixes.
Sims 3 keeps crashing in CAS, it still crashes even if I skip CAS but it happens more quickly in CAS I suppose.
I have done multiple reinstalls and repairs, I did installs from Origin and from the disc. I have no cc or mods, I also deleted and cleaned out my folders before I reinstalled. I did try compatibility mode but it didn't really help. I have tried running in windowed mode but the same thing happens.

Some symptoms before the crash:
The last background music track will end but when the new one comes on it goes to full volume (despite me turning it down beforehand)
The game will lag for a moment and then "seemingly" goes back to normal but then when I click things they won't appear on the sim.

I'm also using the 1.67 superpatch but before that I was using the 1.69 version with the origin install.

I did find some information relating to TS3W.exe in the diagnostics section of my dxdiag.txt which I tried to attach but it wouldn't let me for some reason so I'll post it here:

I don't have all the answers for you but will give it a try at getting started. Your graphics card and RAM do not seem to be a problem here. Other's with more technical expertise will be better able to advise on the specs you posted.

I'm also using the 1.67 superpatch but before that I was using the 1.69 version with the origin install.
How did you revert back to 1.67? There are only three ways to install or revert back to 1.67. Please see the detail at The Bottom of This Page Patch 1.69 at NRaas

You mentioned you are not using any mods. Please know I am not trying to force anything on you. Using or not using mods is, as it should be, at the players discretion. But, without certain mods, as time goes on the game clutters up and bloats, often ending up in corruption and/or a world becoming unplayable. This doesn't happen to absolutely everyone but it is something worth keeping in mind. Please take a look at this: Tips For Better Game Performance. Particularly the first column. I would encourage you to at least consider installing Overwatch and Error Trap. It takes a few game loads but those mods will clean up your game and help keep it healthy. There are also other tips on the page suggesting files and tools that can help you going forward.

Hope this will be some help for you and you can get your game up and running soon.

Edit: I should have mentioned that Error Trap will generate script errors that identifies game problems. Those can be read over at NRaas. Very often those script errors point to the root of game issues and conflicts.
