Yay! I saw the sneaky preview on your blog and was waiting for it!! My actual household is even ready to test that, the grocery is accross the road and there's an empty garden patch!

Awesome Ani. Now I'll finally be forced to go to the grocery store. I'll merge it with the rest of them

Awesome! I always thought that the fridge-shopping in sims 3 was very unrealistic unlike in sims 2. Thanks for this mod!

I may keep the fridge as is, I tend to think of it as futuristic ordering from fridge

Ani, you've done it again. I've been waiting forever for a someone to make a mod like this. The buy from fridge option annoyed me as well. What's the point of having a grocery store if your sims never have to use it?

Thanks for making this.

I shall check this out! I really do need something to force me to take my Sims off the home lot, especially in larger multi-sim families.

Yes. From the mod's Overview:

"This mod is compatible with the ingredients overhaul mod. I don't use that mod in my game currently, but I did some quick checks in my test hood with it and it seems to work. "

ani_, you are a goddess to me. I demand to know your favourite colour and favourite animal so I can build an idol for a shrine. If you have any spare locks of hair lying around I'd like one of those too. ;-)

Could there be a way to tune which recipes the snacks use? I'd like to actually create custom "recipes" for each of the snacks and charge something a little more in line with what they are in CAIO (e.g., ice cream = 3 milk), rather than assume that soup is like spaghetti and so on. =)

And yes, confirmed it works flawlessly with Cooking and Ingredients Overhaul, with the above exception of course (which ani_ already mentioned in the download description). I would say that the sum of No Shopping From Fridge and CAIO is actually greater than the individual parts.

With those two mods, all we finally need is a way to "partially" use ingredients when cooking single meals versus household servings and we'd have the perfect balance of realism and gameplay... it could be done with dummy objects, but it'd require a complete rewrite of the single-serving interactions... I'll add it to my list of vapourware that I will probably never finish. =P
