I just got a new computer with Windows 7 64-bit service pack 1, and it won't let me install clean installer--it says it is not compatible. Is there a way around this? I hope someone can help me because I've been wanting to get back into playing Sims 2 again and this is the computer I'm stuck with for now. =/

Can someone please help me?

I cannot update this... and my sims game skins are doing weird things.

See, my problem is ... the "uninstall.exe" file SOMEHOW disappeared out of the programs folder, so I cannot uninstall to update. What do I do? I re-downloaded the version that I had 1.6.11.0 (I know, I'm a bit behind) but there is no way for me to get the exe file from it... because when I open it says I need to uninstall first. Well duh.

I don't know what to do. Could someone please help? I looked around for other people who may have had this problem, and found none. I did not delete the uninstall file, it just vanished. I haven't used Sims2Pack Clean Installer in awhile, so there is no reason for it to have went missing.

Thank you.

I'm not sure if anyone has told you this but Mootilda passed away september 2014. I am not sure if you will get any help on this or not.
This program only works on windows and all that you have to do is download the file that says installer. Then drag it to your desktop and start the installer

Does this installer also let me know if I have broken objects that are causing my game to crash? Is there a program that does that? Maybe like missing meshes, etc?

I am in need of assistance - I haven't updated my Clean Installer since version 1.6.11.0 (yeah I know) and now that I am ready to join everyone else and get up to date I am unable to uninstall the old version. There doesn't appear to be an uninstaller - it doesn't show up in my programs and features where you go to uninstall, but the files in my program files - it's been six years but I know that I didn't do a manual install. I have no idea what to do now. Thanks in advance for your help.

Any way to use from command line or integrate into own program (not C#)?

For me the program automatically detects that I already have the Clean Installer installed. So I just run the installer and it'll tell me that it detected another version of the Clean Installer and will uninstall that first.

Many here seems to be having problems with Windows 10 I have not had any problems be sure you are selecting the correct directory The Sims 2 Downloads Please go to for additional info

That's about all I can tell you do. IF programmers would like to to improve this for compatibility issues for future Operating systems be my guess I am sure Mootilda would had liked someone to continue her work

For those who do not know Mootilda passed away a few years ago from cancer.
