My game recently got borked due to SecuROM, as did my back-up of my played games (the back-up of my downloads folder was okay though, so that's one less thing I had to worry about), so I basically lost my game due to it (problem resolved, however, and my comp is now SecuROM-free), so I ended up having to start my Megahood over, with the Uber-Megahood this time. I will try to re-create as many events as I can in my new Uberhood, though.

Tara Kat, now that she's back in game, will eventually become a "Catwoman"-style witch (ie, she gets her powers due to her connections with her cats, and her love for felines in general), and there will be a few more witches in my game, including a "voodoo priestess", and the pack of Strangetown werewolves (whom I will have to re-create) will also be aquiring powers, through the same means as Tara Kat, except with dogs. The Cordial Sisters will end up becoming witches of opposite alginment, as the game's story has been set up, however, I decided to take them a step further, and have them operate closer to actual witchcraft, similar to the Wiccan Rede.

Basically they will end up making friends and starting a coven, making the system more closely resemble actual Wiccan-style witchcraft than the game currently has, with them trying to stick to the Light path ("good" magic, even though not all of them will be good witches, there will be many neutral and even evil witches mixed in as well), even imposing the "Rule of Three" on them. Basically, in Wicca, this rule acts a bit like Karma; it says that whatever harm you send out in life (not just in spells, but in general), will eventually come back upon you threefold. So, if one of the witches ends up acting up too much, she'll end up having a long line of bad luck (however, I'll probably end up being a bit more lenient than the rule suggests, though they will end up being punished after a point). However, the Rule of Three will only be imposed upon the coven (and maybe a few other witches like them, though not many), and any craft-practicing decendents of the coven, so it will not affect people like the voodoo priestess (especially since her powers will "come from a different source"). Tara Kat will probably join the coven, and there will most likely be a split in the coven about what direction it should take (I would go into more detail, but I'm thinking about making it into an actual story), resulting in the Cordial sisters each forming their own seperate coven (I'm forgetting their names at the moment), with the good witches (including Tara Kat) following the good witch sister, the evil ones following the evil witch sister, and the neutral witches being divided up between them.

The Kim family was given a makeover, and I finally figured out what to "do" with them. Basically their lives will be lived in a "Retro-Futuristic" style, meaning that the way they (and their house) will look and act will be based on what people in past decades (the 50's, 60's, but mostly the 70's) thought that "the future" would look like. Think of things like Star Trek, The Jetsons, Lost in Space, etc, and even a few modern shows mocking 70's-era stuff, like The Venture Brothers. Cheesy 70's-era Sci-fi interpretations of the nineties and the early 2000's. Also, I now have the mental image of the dad Robert (?) speaking like William Shatner in his early career (think Captain Kirk from Star Trek, and the airline passenger from The Twilight Zone Movie--"There's...something....on the wing of the plane!").

They'll just kind of wander around in their own little world, and basically come across as wierd and delusional to other sims. At least, that's how the nicer ones will put it, the meaner ones will think they're "freaky and downright batshit crazy". Their entire purpose will be to simply wierd out the other sims. Because their origional house was too small and badly-designed, I ended up moving them out, and will have to build an appropriate house for them, including things like cleaning robots, teleporters, and that food replicator from Sims Wardrobe.

I re-modeled their origional house, eventually settling on a slightly retro 70's style interior and deco. Once again, I ended up taking examples from (possibly overtly) stereotypical stuff, especially, once again, The Venture Brothers, even naming the house after it ("The Venture House"--yes, I know that in the show it's called the "Venture Compound," I just meant that I referenced/was inspired by the interior design, it's not a re-creation). I'll probably end up making a second retro family, only it will be the normal kind, not the 70's sci-fi kind. Complete with overly-hairy dad with an open shirt in an ugly pattern and tight white pants, and maybe even a good old-fashioned 70's porno 'stache.

I assume this is a thread that is appropriate to bump, since a moderator linked to it and suggested people use it in a post today. I have just downloaded the UberMegaHood, and while I waited I came up with a neighborhood story. It's incomplete so far, but I wanted to start figuring out neighborhood-wide allegiances in regards to the Capps and Montys. I am about to install the neighborhood, then visit the subhoods to see their characters and ponder how they might fit into what I have so far. Here is hoping all works well.

------------------------------------------------------

Once upon a time, Verona was a picturesque monarchy, ruled with a heavy but sometimes fair hand by King Priam. Upon his death, a power struggle ensued between two branches of the noble family, the Capps and the Montagues. They warred ferociously, for neither would compromise with the other, and in time the monarchy failed to serve anyone. Rising to the challenge, communities within the kingdom began to rule themselves -- autonomously. Families like the Pleasants, once restricted by the king's economic policies, were now free to expand without limit. The royal families tried to vain to reach a concordance and annoint a new king to reunite the land, but they could only manage a cease-fire. The balance of power is shifting from old Verona to booming Pleasantview, a place of boundless growth and opportunity. Toward the far ends of the old kingdom, those once oppressed by the royals have flocked to create a life for themselves. Their ranks include aliens and "Plant Persons". Though Pleasantview is the oldest and strongest of the new communities, it has not yet reunited the land -- and in the absence of region-wide law enforcement, crime is soaring. Let us meet some of the players in the new Verona.

The Capps
The Capps have -- arguably -- the best claim to the royal throne, but they are an intensely disliked family. They remain staunchly aristocratic and dislike acknowledging nouveau-riche families like the Pleasants as equals, but the growing power of Daniel Pleasant's business empire is forcing them to play nice. Their hatred for the Montys overwhelms even their disdain for commoners, however. The Capps' greatest asset is their ownership of the oldest bank in the land, one with the resources to become the only bank in the land if led properly. If the Capps can swallow their pride, find allies, and finance the region's boom, they may find themselves more powerful than they've ever been.

The Montagues
Unlike the Capps, the Montagues are remembered fondly by many. While Consort Capp seems a bitter, hateful old man who is constant scheming, Patrizio Monty effects the air of a kindly old grandfather whose home is always open. The Montagues's fortune is based in food, especially restaurants where people also engage in harmless vices such as (illegal) gambling. But despite appearances, "Papa Monty" is not an innocent. While never as economically powerful as the Capps, the Montys held their own in the war through the use of discrete force, engaging in theft and arson to sap at the Capps' strength. While Consort and his supporters employed the same means, they were never as effective at it. Despite the peace, the Montys have maintained various illegal operations -- including burgularly. While Antonio Monty -- oblivious to this side of the family business -- has stepped up to oversee the restaurants, Patrizio is grooming Romeo and Mercutio to continually strengthen the family's hand through crime.

The Goths
The Goth family home in old Verona perished in flames during the Royal War, along with patriarch Gunther Goth. Young Mortimer, scarcely graduated from the university, was forced to take a leading role. He moved the family to the then-largely unsettled area of Pleasantview, establishing several homes in the area. While the Goths have deep aristocratic roots and maintain close ties to the Capps, Mortimer has worked throughout his life to create a new destiny for the Goth family by transforming it into a cultural pillar of the community -- supporting science, art, and education.

The Summerdreams
The Summerdreams are among Verona's more eccentric families. They can often be found in community parks, which they help maintain. Gardening and crafts remain their favorite activities. The Summerdreams have never been regarded highly in Old Verona, but their stock has risen given their refusal to abandon the ancient community for greater surburbia. The Capps and Montagues both view the Summerdreams as nutty, but ultimately loyal.

Landgraab
Malcolm Landgraab is disgraced. Once the presumed heir to the Landgraab financial empire -- an empire with a glorious history of ruthlessly acquiring and developing land -- Malcolm nearly ruined his portion of the family estate through awful investing choices. Malcolm has been disowned, left to support himself with the leftovers of his fortune. Though he will never reclaim his rightful title back from his brother Jerome, Malcolm hopes to find a fresh start in the boomtown of Pleasantview. Unfortunately, as he has found, the competition is already stiff. Malcolm will have to be devious to stand against moguls like Daniel Pleasant and Consort Capp.

The Brokes:
Brandi Broke's people were once peasants living under the tyranny of Consort Capp, but they escaped his household during the Royal War to find new lives for themselves, finding it among the Montys, who offered her family shelter in those early years. Brandi adores Papa Monty, whom she regards as a father figure, and hates the Capps beyond reason, even though her family's oppression was before her time. Brandi's late husband Skip is rumored to have been the last casulty of the royal war, killed by an agent of the Capps for his service to the Montys. Brandi works in Papa Monty -- now Antonio Monty's -- restaurant, as does her boy Dustin. He seemes to keep odd hours for someone in the restaurant industry, but Papa assures Brandi that "Dusty" is doing well. As much as Brandi likes Pleasantview, she secretly hopes to one day have the money to own a home in old Verona -- on the Monty side, of course.

The Grunts
"General" Buzz Grunt is a fantastically hateful man who moved his family to the border of Greater Verona to keep a close eye on the "weirdos". Buzz is perpetually angry at the lack of a strong government in the area, constantly and loudly shouting that action needs to be taken to restore order. He is especially obsessed with the presence of alien and chloros (sometimes called "Plant People"), wishing someone would help him drive them out. He is the self-proclaimed general of a "citizen's militia", given that the old Veronan army has passed into nonexistence thanks to a continuing lack of funding. He spends his free time keeping a list of 'undesirables' -- including aliens, chloros, and 'that artsy-fartsy crowd' -- who he hopes a leader will one day drive out. Unfortunately, there are many in Greater Verona who share his hostile views.

The Fromms
For generations, the Fromm family has served Verona as archivists, magistrates, and advisors to the royal family. Following the death of King Priam, Otto Fromm was tasked with deciding who had the worthiest claim to succession. Shortly before announcing his decision, however, he was assassinated -- and thus began the royal war, which continued throughout young Wilhelm Fromm's childhood. When Wilhelm came of age, he immediately established a cease-fire between the families. Secretly hating both -- for one must be responsible for his father's death -- Wilhelm has refused resolve the matter while Patrizio and Consort live. This decision has ensured Pleasantview's continuing success, and left the Fromms officially in charge of Old Verona...although in truth, the Montys rule on their side of town and the Capps rule theirs. Outside of Old Verona, Fromm's position is largely ignored. The Fromms are effective outcasts, and socialize only with the Goths.

The Pleasants
The Pleasants rank among Greater Verona's most inspiring success stories. They were once an ignored surburban family, but Diane Pleasant was able to begin a small business and see the family grow into prosperity. While Daniel Pleasant -- sports nut and lecher -- seems an unlikely person to have created a business empire, that is what has transpired. Perhaps his success owes to good advisors. With his ambition and resources strengthened by shrewd advice, Daniel has become rich. His business interests are expanding, and he hopes to one day become Mayor of all Greater Verona. Can he achieve it within his lifetime?

The Calientes
Nina and Dina Caliente are a unique pair of sisters. They are directly descended from the royal family, but not so direct as to threaten either the Montys or the Capps. Their red hair and rich skin tone remind people of the glory days of the old royal family -- before it split in two. Nina is known as a passionate athlete, obsessively committed to being the best. Her sister Dina is far lazier, but brilliant. Though she dreams of a life of luxury and power, she views work as beneath her. The Calientes both tend to support the Pleasants: Nina is Daniel's star player, and Dina is often seen entering his office with a briefcase in hand.

The Burbs:
John Burb is passionately pro-Pleasantview. He's interested in serving the local community and keeping it democratic. He despises both the Capps and the Montys, thinking them sinister aristocrats, and longs for the day when Old Verona is nothing more than a neighborhood within Greater Pleasantview's borders. Despite this, he distrusts Daniel Pleasant, thinking the man more interested in profit than ensuring a better life for people everywhere. John hopes to one day be a community leader.

Default What have you done with your Mega/Uber-Megahood?
I started out playing the Curious household and used one of the multi-PT mods for more variation in the alien babies. Got all three brothers pregnant and had Pascal 'adopt' Nervous Subject since I'm thinking of trying to get Nervous to marry one of the rich downtownies, or even a socialite, and Pascal is interested in a couple women - a townie and Samantha Cordial.

Pascal's first child, a girl named Delenn, befriended both of the Pleasant sisters. Since I have this mod where I can control visiting sims, one day when both Lilith and Angela were visiting I took control of Lilith and had her apologise to Angela. To me, it didn't matter who was wrong or right, or who started it; what mattered was Lilith would have the opportunity to take the high road and eventually have a better family life. After she apologised, I had her chat with Angela. It was so nice to see the 'enemy' icons with crosses through them floating above their heads.

Later on, when Delenn and her cousin Lennier were both best friends with Lilith, I bought a couple hourglasses full of elixir of life, a Renu-YU Sensorb, and a thinking cap with the copious amount of aspiration points all these knowledge sims got from skilling and meeting their alien baby-daddies. Then I had Delenn and Lennier gift them to Lilith. After playing the lot for awhile and sending Delenn and Lyta(Vidcund's first kid) to college, I played the Pleasant household.

First thing I did was take the elixir of life coolers and the sensorb out of Lilith's inventory. When I started, Daniel's aspiration was in the red. First time I tried out the sensorb with him, it didn't go as planned... see, I had plans for Daniel... I wanted to GRILL him. So I reloaded the household and tried it again, and this time, it worked. First thing he did was make some grilled cheese sandwiches, which perked him up nicely. I also had him talk with the maid about grilled cheese - she listened politely, but when she asked if she could hang out I declined, then later on I nuked her scheduler - removing the temptation. For awhile, Daniel still had the want to have three loves at once, but after awhile that went away. Eventually, I used the simblender to alter his and the maid's relationship to take away the crush and love. In my story, Daniel broke it off with the maid after finding out that he loved grilled cheese more than he loved her.

I also changed Mary-Sue's aspiration to family - she was lucky, as her aspiration was below gold, and gave her and the two girls grilled cheese as a secondary aspiration. See, according to my story, the machine that Delenn gave Lilith would bring the family closer together; at first, Mary-Sue and her daughters would think Daniel's new obsession was a bit weird, but figured it was harmless fun and decided to join in.

When Dustin Broke visited, I had Daniel apologise to him, and now, I don't know if they are friends or not but at least they're not at each others' throats. I gave all four original members some makeovers; started out by giving Lilith a shorter, more punk-like hairstyle, purple eyeshadow and some flowery full-face makeup which actually complemented her look quite well. And she looks quite nice in dark blue lipstick, and a pair of black bear ears that I decided to throw on just for fun and silliness. Also gave Angela a custom hairstyle, one where the hair was put up and had a bit of a wave to it, and added fox ears, which I also later put on Daniel. Mary-Sue's hair I let down, making her look a lot younger. For makeup, I gave her some nice, sheer lipstick and a pair of bear ears as well.

Mary-Sue and Daniel both got their aspirations up to platinum, then drank from the elixir of life. The sisters followed suit, and eventually built up enough aspiration points to buy some other nice things and more elixir. Then the happy couple did some ACR try-for-baby and Mary-Sue became pregnant. She had a beautiful little boy named Wally, who is sort of the black-sheep of the family - it's hard for them to keep their aspirations up when he keeps on wanting to get abducted! I renovated the house a little for a little 'baby's room' until he became a child, and then I moved him in with Lilith because the two were pretty close. Then he became a teen and I decided to give him the knowledge aspiration because it's one of my favourites. Heheh I'm quite boring sometimes.

Angela and Dustin were trying to woohoo but I didn't want them to do that quite yet(they need to focus more on friendships and college, for cryin' out loud), and thanks to some renu-yu portachug, Lilith and Dirk have two bolts, but Lilith has three with Tank Grunt. Pretty interesting. Plus, Tank seems to be a pretty cool guy. I might have Tank find someone else he's triple-bolts with because I don't want to have Lilith break up with Dirk all of the sudden - had that happen to me too many times in real life and it always just ripped me up. So I might either keep them together and marry them off, or remove the mod where teens keep loves when growing up.

Right now I'm playing the Beaker household, and it's quite... interesting. Had Loki and Circe make some crank calls but nobody came to give them heck. It's kinda new for me, playing characters with no nice or playful points, but I have learned quite a bit. Nervous and Loki have become best friends, and all three occupants became pregnant within 24 sim hours. Yup, got a hacked telescope. Got Nervous abducted on purpose, then Loki got himself abducted autonomously. Both had pretty babies. Also did had Loki and Circe breed, just to see what the baby would look like. When Juno became a toddler, she got Loki's brows. They look kinda out-of-place right now but I could see them looking rather cool on her once she reaches her teens. Besides that, not every sim is going to look absolutely beautiful and adorable, and people in real life have all kinds of flaws - they don't have perfect features.

Anyways, Olive Subject has her daddy's downturned eyes and eyebrows, and she might be inheriting his chin. Her alien baby-daddy is the ivory-skinned PT. 65. She doesn't take after her dad all that much except for shyness, though she's a tad more outgoing. She also has full playful and nice, almost full neat, and is in the middle with activity points.

Persephone Beaker is just plain gorgeous! She has a short, custom hairdo and cute eyebrows that look nothing liker her earth-daddy's. Like her daddy, she's neat, outgoing and very serious, but unlike him she's also very lazy and nice. It'd be cool to see how this goes.

Juno Beaker has the angry brows, though she has only three nice points so that might just be somewhat appropriate. At least she'll be nicer than both her parents. She also has four playful points, which is something considering both her parents are way too serious. She has full outgoing and active points, and eight neat points. It'll be quite interesting to see what she looks like when she becomes a child, that's for sure!

I'm planning on playing around with Lothario sometime, and giving him a little 'surprise' after he boffs all those people. I want to just let him leave Cassandra at the altar because honestly, she deserves better than someone who's been playing around like that. Might have her marry Darren, Pascal or Lazlo.

Am also thinking of having Nervous move out of the lab sometime... he is getting along pretty well right now but there isn't much room, and besides, I've already had him 'swipe' a few things in preparation. Might have him adopt a little kitty afterwards.

What have you done with your Megahood?

Not much yet, but I resurrected Ophelia's parents, and then, along with her parents, Ophelia moved next to Grunts' house. Creon Nigmos runs a computer store right now.
I don't really like it how Loki's children tend to inherit his absolutely stupid looking eyebrows. If a baby girl inherits his stupid eyebrows, I usually just quickly get rid of them through SimBlender's plastic surgery.

Oh cool! You know, I am thinking of trying that, but I don't want Juno to look absolutely perfect, because I think once she gets older those eyebrows might look a bit better. They kinda give her a mix of an angry and pleading look. It's a bit weird but it adds some uniqueness to her, and besides that, there are quite a few people with odd-looking eyebrows and other features. Might make Olive Specter young again, because I want her to pass on her genes and have someone who will inherit the house. Either that or I'll impregnate a few men with the simblender.

I had Johnny age into young adult, but still make him live in Strangetown. I don't know yet wheter I'll make him study or just get a job.
At his birthday party, Ripp kissed Ophelia after Johnny aged to YA. Not really surprising, it has happened to me before.
As for Ripp, he became a prankster and did a joy buzzer prank to Tank. Right now, however, I'm wondering who should I pair with Ripp. I'm unsure about his relationship with Ophelia so I might make them break up later.
Any suggestions on whom I should pair Ripp with?

Right now I'm thinking about Juliette Capp, since I think that Romeo should rather be just a chick magnet like Don Lothario and him + Juliette wouldn't work out. Ripp does have a Romance aspiration too but I might change that.

The only neighborhoods I managed to play through so far are Bluewater Village and Belladonna Cove. Nothing of real interest happened in Bluewater Village. Most of the families just ran their businesses. Gilbert Jacquet and Florence Delarosa went on a dream date, but I don't know if I want to pursue that any further and Wanda Tinker had twin girls.

Belladonna Cove was far more interesting. The Patels moved out of their apartment and into a small house realizing they wanted a big family. Ana had a daughter, Manjula, and was pregnant again within a sim-hour of giving birth. She quit her job, preferring to stay home when the kids were young. Ramir joined the culinary career track, and was a hostess, until a bad chance card got him demoted to fast food manager. This was unfortunate as Ana is pregnant with twins and the house needed more space. So Ana got a job in the law career, which she'll start after she has the babies. On a side note, when the welcome wagon came Sam Cordial and Gabriel Green were all over each other and fell in love.

Jessica Peterson just does what Jessica Peterson does. She joined the criminal career, went on an outing and got into a fight with Marcel Jocque. She went on a date with Carlos Contender and became pregnant through risky woohoo. Carlos rolled a want to get engaged to Jessica while on the date but when Jessica told him she was pregnant he was less than thrilled. She opened a music store, which may have reached level 1, I can't remember, and has begun her plot to get revenge on Armand by becoming best friends with Tara.

The Baldwins are my no drama household. Marcus grew into a child, Sophia grew into a teen (she's a popularity sim), Isabel is pregnant and they got a dog named Moscato.

The DeBateau's moved out of their apartment into a mansion that overlooks the town. Tara became an overachiever, and tried to become friends with Ophelia Nigmos. Lets just say their personalities didn't mesh well. Armand was invited on an outing by Sam Cordial. When they went out him and Sam fell in love, and he constantly rolled wants to get engaged to her. I didn't know what to do about that (at the time) since Sam was in love with Gabriel as well.

Vivian Cho decided that the pain of her husband's death was too much and she would never fall in love or marry again. She managed to hook up with Gabriel Green and Timothy Riley (Timothy was not much of a surprise, but Gabriel definitely was, thats why I love ACR), and was working on Carlos Contender. When she wasn't dating guys, she was looking after Etsu, who grew into a very cute child. They decided to get a puppy named Zipper. Vivian joined the law enforcement career and got into a fight with the nanny she had to hire to look after Etsu while she was at work.

The Riley's were rather dull. Timothy kept rolling wants to get engaged to Vivian (which isn't going to happen), Salley became BFF with Etsu and keeps getting A+ report cards. I tried to get Timothy and Florence Delarosa to get togther (she was a walk-by and I thought, perfect match!) but neither of them really liked the other.

Carlos Contender's round started with an outing invitation by Sam Cordial. The outing group included Gabriel Green and Armand DeBateau. Carlos was busy with the bubble blower when the cheating sound played and I saw Gabriel sprinting through the building to the Photo Booth where Sam Cordial and Armand DeBateau were exiting. Gabriel and Sam of course started a slapping match, while Carlos was still stuck to the bubble blower. Carlos then met one of the head vampires and influenced him to bite Gabriel. So Gabriel was cheated on and transformed into a vampire in one night, poor guy. The next day the welcome wagon showed up with Mortimere Goth, Olive Spectre and Denise Jacquet. Mortimere and Carlos did not get along, but the usually cranky Olive was obsessed with Carlos, she was constantly admiring him. Carlos and Denise had a couple of bolts of chemistry and they hooked up while she was there, which I'm grateful for because she needs to get a life outside of Gilbert (in my opinion). Carlos decided to retire from the athletic career and join the slacker career so he could spend his nights partying away. He went on an outing downtown and woohooed with Chastity Gere in a photobooth and tried to put the moves on Nylissit Tricou, which didn't really work. He ended his rotation with having the Baldwin's over for dinner, which is sweet, I like that he has such a good relationship with his family.

The Cordials were both turned to witches, though Sam wasn't thrilled because she would have preferred to be turned into a vampire. Kimberly spent most of the round terrorizing neighbors with bees and making them act like chickens. Sam decided that she truely loved Armand and asked him to marry her. She'll move into Armand's mansion next round. Using the find a mate crystal ball, I tried to see who Kimberly had some chemistry with, and much to my surprise one candidate was Vidcund Curious. So I had him magaically appear in the house. Things didn't start off well, but they do have 2 bolts so I'll see what I want to do with them.

Moving onto the Green household, Gabriel constantly rolled wants and fears about being cured of vampirism. Chastity went on a date with Nina Caliente, and then came home and woohooed with Gabriel and became pregnant (sigh, NOT what I wanted). She joined the show business career because the business career just doesn't fit her personality at all. Gabriel joined the medical career and looked through the telescope for hours on end through the night.

The Clevelands spent most of their time working. Jason and Geoff Rutherford became very close, which has raised quite a few eyebrows around Belladonna Cove. Marissa and Jason barely speak to each other. They don't hate each other, but both realize their marriage is a sham, and neither is really sure what to do about it. Justin was fired from his job, which he seemed to not really care about once his motives were back up. He brought home Lillith Pleasant from school one day, and developed a little crush on her. At first she was resistant, but after a while she gave in and she and Justin had their first kiss together (sorry Dirk).

The Rutherford house was the place to be in Belladonna Cove. They always seemed to have a bunch of people wandering around. Geoff realized he hated the business world and joined the culinary career, while Connor managed to make his way up to Vice President. Geoff managed to woohoo Chastity Gere and Alexandra O'Mackey and has been working on Catherine Viejo. He went to a community lot where he met Dora Ottomas, and they got into a fight. She now frequents the house stealing newspapers and kicking over the trashcan. Along the way Connor met Cassandra Goth and imagine my surprise when I realized they had 2 bolts! Cassandra was into him, and please he wanted a family too, so she'll be ending things with Don whenever I get around to the Goth's rotation.

Ok this was crazy long, sorry about that! I'm heading Downtown next, where most of the binned sims/families got place.

Oh it's okay! I love long, interesting stories! But I'm wondering... has anyone else repaired the relationships between the members of the Pleasant family? And has anyone ever 'grilled' Daniel? I figured we needed another grilled cheese sim in the megahood, and it was kinda cool watching him conjure the grilled cheese out of nowhere.

As for the Goths, just play Don Lothario for awhile and let their relationship go down. Then play the Goths house and have Cassandra try to marry Don - there's a good chance he might leave her at the altar. I want him to do that in my uber-megahood because honestly she deserves so much better than that playboy.

I found a great way to solve Cassandra's problem: give Don a sex-change operation. Cass immediately loses all interest in marrying "Dawn", and can get on with her life.

I have. I always do. I find the whole affair-with-the-french-maid thing too cheap, like the plot of some generic ratty porn, and I don't like the idea of a family that's been together so long suddenly breaking up over something so contrived. So in my story Daniel and Mary-Sue do take some time apart, but it's only to find out they still love each other after all, and just need to learn to respect each other more and both put a little more effort into the marriage. Then MS takes Daniel back, in time for them to grow old together.

I did once, but only for Mary Sue and Daniel. I didn't bother with Angela and Lillith, I just sent them to Uni and had them ignore each other. But Daniel and Mary Sue had one more child and then aged to elder. Mary Sue was incredibly boring, so she met an untimely death due to a satellite that came crashing through the roof of the house.

I agree completely, but I want Cassandra to do it on her own terms. My plan now is to have Cassandra and Connor fall in love and then invite Don and Connor over to the Goth mansion at the same time, where Don will "accidentially" find Cassandra cheating on him

Restarted again--I have the hack that lets me have regular townies as Apartment denizens so I wanted to do apartments.
Someone on MTS suggested having Cassondra leave Don at the altar, but they make cute kids together, so I'm considering options. Right now I'm playing in Belladonna Cove.
The Travelers are living above the Rileys, but Sally never wants to come out to play with Tina, and I can't figure out how to get their relationship up so she will. The Ottomas are on the top floor, squashed in there, but they can afford it, and Sharla and Sally are buds, though Sharla hasn't met Tina yet (Tina didn't come out for the 'your neighbors have come to welcome you' deal) so the Ottomas seem pretty happy there. I'm going to try letting Trisha throw a block party or whatever it's called and see if that'll get the kids to meet each other--if it works, then I can get Tommy and Etsu to meet once they're big enough. David's kinda out of luck, no other teens in the building, but he'll meet some around town soon, I'm sure. The Ottomas family has their apartment mostly in the mountain colors of the BV furniture.
Down in the first floor, Vivian took a job as a dancer, but immediately got fired (her OTH is music and dance) and found an opening in paranormal. Nights is better when you're a single parent, right? Alas, she fell in love with Mr. Riley while unplayable, so I'll have to fix that with the simblender or something--if she can get high enough she'll resurrect her dead husband. Moving up a floor to the Rileys', nothing much happened, Sally gets good grades at school, her dad wants her to get into private school but he hasn't had the headmaster by yet. Up to the third floor, Trisha is working as a dancer and Trent is in Law Enforcement. He wants to max seven skills and she wants twenty best friends. Tina's doing well in school, too. On the top floor, Dora is a High School Principal, Peter and Samantha haven't been promoted, and David is a piano tuner.
Across town, Isabel Baldwin spends most of her time watching 'Cooking with Isabella Monty' reruns, or dealing with bad morning sickness. Benjamin got Sofia into private school by becoming friends with the headmaster (I've never seen a maxed aspiration perks pop sim do a headmaster scenario before) and showing him around the place. Marcus spends his days playing with his toys.
Armand DeBateau adopted another child, Bruce (red-headed OFB townie child) and Tara got caught sneaking out with Justin. What Armand doesn't know and Bruce does is just how hands-on those biology tutoring sessions are, but hearing from the police got Armand to hire a butler. Tara got a job with a local architecture firm in order to 'prove' to her dad that she really is responsible. She's secondary romance. Bruce and Tara aren't yet friends, but she tucks him in at night and they do have good conversations at the breakfast table.

No link, it's by Cyjon. I'm not sure what site I got it from but the package is called CJ-TownieApartmentResidents. Good luck!

Made over Sam and Kim Cordial, they went to work but haven't found their LTW careers yet--for some reason they start out with pop LTWs. No more--thanks to a reroll Kim wants to be a criminal and Sam wants to be a marine biologist (er--Hand of Poseidon).
The Patels have a new baby girl, Bronwyn, and a dog, Abbey. Ramir got a lucky chance card that gave him the charisma points he needed to become an assemblyman. Ana is hoping for more babies soon, but mostly training Abbey and snuggling Bronwyn. The Travelers came by, without Tina, and while Ana was very much 'who are you?' (Trisha is a pal of Ramir's), she tried to be a good political wife and let them in. Being polite was made more difficult by Trisha and Trent trying to ACR on the couch (they couldn't figure out how to get round the coffee table). Grr. I thought that was fixed in ACR2--no one else has done it in ages. Abbey growled at the Travelers, so Ana was trying to scold the dog when she really was pleased her dog has more taste than her husband.

Right now I'm playing the Caliente family. So far, Nina and Dina are both permaplat and Nina has four kids - three are from townies - Ricardo(named after Ricardo Montalban) and Guadalupe are twins fathered by Talin Deppiesse, a tech townie, the third child, Esteban(very cute and handsome) fathered by an adorably pregnant Vidcund, and the fourth, Roberta, fathered by an elder socialite romance sim, Phineas Zimmerman. I used ACR with risky woohoo to make it more 'realistic'. None of the births dinged Nina's aspiration, not that it would matter anyway because she is after all, permaplat. She has a current want to makeout and woohoo with ten different sims. Very high-scoring wants, which I intend to fulfill.

They have a nice garden and lots of cool toys thanks to me fulfilling lots of wants. Ricardo is a Popularity/money sim, while Guadalupe is Pleasure/knowledge, and Esteban is Knowledge, though I might make him a romance sim as his secondary, though he looks so incredibly hot that I might make him a fortune sim so he won't fear marriage. Nina and Dina both have gold gardening badges which really helps with tending the garden. The teens do the spraying now so Nina and Dina don't turn into plantsims. I think they look nicer as they are. All three teens have high grades and jobs. The twins have both reached the top of their teen careers and are moving to college, and Esteban is working on his next promotion.

I recently took the lock off of Dina's want to marry a rich sim because marrying rich townies, despite how much money they have, is kind of a crapshoot. Besides, she has a bigger want - make 100,000 simoleons. Bigger reward. Might marry her off to Cristopher Tsang. He seems like a nice guy.

Also, while I was playing the Subject family, they were greeted by a few neighbours including Jenny Smith. Weird thing is, she flipped her lid and went into aspiration failure shortly after greeting everyone. I had played the Curious family rather heavily previously, and had all three brothers get abducted multiple times. I wonder if that was the cause... though she wasn't around to my knowledge when that happened. Is there some kind of telepathy going on? Anyway, I used the sim controller mod and had her fulfill some wants, getting her into gold aspiration and then having her drink the elixir of life so she could fulfill her want to have a baby.

That happens quite a bit with supernatural stuff in my neighborhoods. If one sim gets turned into a creature, it seems every other sim in the neighborhood either rolls a want or fear about it. Like when Gabriel Green became a vampire Kim Cordial (who doesn't know him), kept rolling fears about become a vampire. In my previous uberhood, I made Nervous an evil warlock, and in every house in Strangetown there was at least one sim who was afraid of becoming or wanted to become a witch/warlock, even if they didn't know Nervous. Sometimes it does seem there is some weird telepathy thing going on in neighborhoods...or the neighbors just gossip too much :D

Why would Kim Cordial fear being a vampire? She's a knowledge sim... at least she was last time I checked. Might give Jenny Smith knowledge as a secondary aspiration, just to soften any further blows. Might have to do the same for the rest of the Smiths, because I want Johnny to do some skilling before he gets into college... either that or I'll move him in with one of the pre-made households. As for the telepathy, I thought I had downloaded the no-telepathy hack. This is weird. The only effect it seems to have is that nobody else in the household remembers other household members getting abducted.

And the fourth Caliente child, Roberta, has grown from a toddler to the child stage. She is ADORABLE! She looked okay as a toddler but as a child she is so pretty! She aged up almost as soon as she woke from her nap. Didn't have time to take her to the cake, but Nina is such a good cook she can make plenty of lovely custom cakes for her latest child. Nina had gotten pregnant again while Roberta was either a baby or a toddler, but by then, the house had no more room for cribs or beds, so I had Nina take a morning-after pill. Now that the twins have moved out and Esteban is close to moving out as well, I might not use the pill so often, because Nina makes such pretty babies! I also want to give Dina a baby because she hasn't had much luck with romance, though she did have a few encounters. Might see if she and Lazlo would be compatible.

Right now I'm playing the Caliente university household. Guadalupe is permaplat due to a booty-call with Ripp Grunt so the aspiration rewards are no-fail for her. She's an art major and getting high marks thanks to my guidance. Ricardo is getting close to permaplat thanks to me summoning one of the professors from his major - drama. I gave her an ACR token and had Ricardo get his first kiss and then woohoo with her. Not that he needed the points, because he already was at the top. I just wanted to fulfill some milestones so he could get his permaplat all done. I'll probably set their relationship to zero later on to avoid any potential phone spam. I might later on change Ricardo to a knowledge Sim because he is quite interested in Science, and he's rather serious. I initially chose his aspiration at random, but I like the fortune aspiration too, 'cause he can make some extra bucks through financial insulting(malapropism intended).

Might hafta get Delenn and Lyta Curious to do some ACR with some local romance sims, like Mickey... forgot his last name. He's the one on academic probation. I helped Mickey out a little by controlling him, then having him study the necessary skills and do his assignment. Now at least he's out of the red zone. And I've moved Stella Terrano into the Curious household - she's a knowledge sim and not a self-hating alien, so her aspiration shouldn't suffer every time one of the Curious household members meets aliens.

So far, Delenn has neither fallen in love nor had her first kiss, but in a way it's sort of sweet, having a graduate who has never been kissed, like in that one movie. However, she, Lyta and Stella have all joined the Landgrabb Society and we haz COWPLANT! Gotta take extra care to feed Mr. Cowie in case we have visitors or hungry roommates... and right now he's stowed away in Delenn's inventory. Got some other cool rewards, though Delenn left some of her own when she visited, including a sensorb. Nice place, great if you need a retreat from the dorm or rental house.

Also, Lyta and Delenn have both become witches, and not by cheat or hack either; Lyta was out scouting for Secret Society members on a community lot when the High Good Witch appeared. I had her chat the witch up a little before either going home or talking with another SS member. She talked on the cellphone with the witch a few times, then invited her over after a couple days. She and the High Witch are best friends, and Delenn is getting close to being best friends with said witch, though Lyta was able to transform her, giving her a major aspiration boost. Stella is next.

Delenn is in her senior year and getting awesome grades, though keeping her aspiration up was rather trying since I had her max her skills before going to college, but doing lots of gardening helped; both she and Lyta have gold gardening badges and have benefited from the strawberry lemonade they were finally able to make. The only drawback to the craft is whenever they go up an alignment, I have to change their hair because while the hat looks pretty, I want them to have black hair. For most of her stay in college, Delenn has worn dark glasses, but I've changed that and her hairstyle; she now has a different custom style that looks more princess-like, and has lighter lipstick. Lyta hasn't changed much, though I'll probably give her longer hair as well. Pascal and Vidcund are gonna be mighty proud of their little girls! Just hope that the Pleasant girls won't go cuckoo next time I play them. Heheheh.

Ana Patel is pregnant again, and having pre-term labor, but she can't stay on bed rest because of Bronwyn and Abbey. Ramir is busy with political stuff and, well, he wanted a boy. Girls are nice, he guesses, but he's got no idea what to do with her. He tickles her and what not, but leaves the actual childcare to Ana, because he hasn't got a clue about kids. He bought Ana a nicer bed, seeing as she's spending so much time in it. I think he never meant to go into politics, but found malfeasance at his previous workplace, where he was a janitor, and got involved in government to fix things. I have to have an explanation as to why a sim who isn't interested in politics and is fairly shy would pick that career. Ana is trying to make friends with Dora Ottomas but it's slow going. She and Ramir are also trying to save up for a house--Ramir would like one for the status--he's in state government after all, Ana feels that it would be better for the children and she could save so much by having a garden. Ramir has a party every night which Bronwyn hates. There are always strangers in her house, trying to play with her, and she wishes they would all go away.
Moving on, I reached the Gavigan family, who are living in one of the apartments facing the bay with a garage. Nathan dreams of being a sports super-star--he was on his high school team after all, but there were only a hundred kids in the school, so the basic requirement to play was to show up. Danny Pleasant is going to have some work on his hands if he's to transform this goof-off into an athlete. Mary is restoring a car in their garage--she's got the skills for it. Nathan thinks that's stupid and they should just go buy a new car. After all, he's actually playing on the field now and someday will be famous. Isaiah wants a dog, but his parents have so far said no. He has a new baby brother, that will have to do. Ezekiel, since I sat and thought for a few minutes, and that was what stuck in my mind (thanks, Peni!). Ezekiel is blond haired and blue eyed, and Isaiah thinks the baby is kind of cool, but he really wants a dog. He never brought anyone home from school, and since they were the first playables in the apartment building has no friends yet, but he's met Sharla Ottomas through the internet.

How on earth did you get a blonde Gavigan?! Did you give Mary a recessive in SimPE? And I see that, unlike me, you spelled the name right...

Actually, I'm not sure how I spelled it in game--it happens to be a real family name in my family, but not from the English speaking side--so I went with how spell check says in my post, because my brain says it should be spelled 'Ezechiel'. I know I didn't spell it with a 'ch' in game, though.
As for how I got a blond Gavigan, it might be from meetme2theriver's templates, or it might be from this hack here: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=434085

Delenn graduated Summa Cum Laude. Pascal is going to be VERY pleased. Plus, she is working hard on maxing her witchiness, and is staying on campus to greet the next arrivals to the rental plot. I want the other Curious children to get into the society, though I'll also be adding in some pre-made young adults. To get in, they must have knowledge as a primary or secondary aspiration, because weird stuff WILL be going on.

Lyta has crafted three thrones of light so far and is in the second semester of her senior year I think. Stella has become a witch as well, and I changed her hair because I dun like the default witch hair. Tried using an override too but it doesn't work and it made an ugly bald spot on the back of the witch's head. Gotta find some better overrides or see if I've made a boo-boo somewhere, but there has GOT to be an easier way to remove the darn witch hat while still keeping the nice-looking robe. What's really cool is, now all three housemates fly home on brooms. And they make some really pretty things - I love the lamps and sconces. They're all good witches thanks to Lyta meeting an infallibly good one. Will hafta have other knowledge sims meet these girls and ask to learn the ways of light.

And I'm thinking of having Nervous subject become a werewolf because the personality change that he will go through will be an improvement in his case. He'll at least be more open to playing and chatting and stuff, and I could see if Olive can get changed to a witch and whip up some magically spiced sugar to sweeten up her sourpuss daddy for awhile.

The Burbs moved into the apartment next to the Gavigans. John and Mary soon became good friends, but when John got a job opportunity in the Game Developer career he took it, so Mary's back to being the only stay at home parent in the building. Isaiah and Lucy also became buddies, though Lucy is a little more likely to be found with her nose in a book than on the playground--when she's not practicing for ballet or piano lessons. Jennifer is at level five in the dance career, due with a baby in a day, and burning the candle at both ends. Jennifer is thrilled that John got a job--hopes this will be their last kid, and that Lucy's doing well in school. She'd like Lucy to go to private school, so that's in the plans, along with Lucy's birthday.
And then I jumped hoods, over to the Jaquets. They're working hard at the bakery, and it's going pretty well. They have the one pre-hired employee, who does restocking, and Lillith Pleasant works the till and occasionally helps with sales when things get busy. Denise does the cooking and also helps with sales, and Gilbert switches between sales and register. Denise would like Gilbert to get engaged and have a baby, Gilbert would like a date and a baby. (Both secondary family.) They got up to level three and I sent them home and went to bed myself, so I suppose that's where I'll start next time.

Continued: Gilbert had a great date with Sonia Wilkins (aka Sandy Bruty--one feature of using Pleasantview as a business district is that the townies get random names from my replacement names, I think of this as a benefit--Goopy is now Gary Gordon), but alas, Gilbert and Sonia got a little bit careless and Sonia got knocked up. She actually never cared one way or the other, moved into an apartment in Belladona Cove and had the baby, a girl, whom she named Chrystal. She left the baby to the nanny and got promoted to Smuggler. Actually, the nanny left once right as Sonia was getting in the car so I teleported grandma Denise in to call another nanny.
Gilbert got the business to level ten, promoted Lilith to manager, hired Gavin Newson, and Denise became permaplat, I think in the opposite order. Denise maxed cooking and culinary enthusiasm. J'adore bakery, for when you need twins, are sick, or require a meal that pleases a headmaster: also featuring birthday and wedding cakes, and assorted kitchen accessories.
Sonia threw a birthday party for the baby (incidentally, her upstairs neighbor is Bella Goth, who's going by Lisa Snow or something like that), and Gilbert and Denise spent the entire time playing with the new toddler. Back at the Jaquet residence, Denise spent Saturday tutoring her son's teen employees, while Gilbert puttered around with his easel, and Denise also encouraged Gilbert enough that he no longer is disgusting at table and can run around his business. She became fit as well. Sunday, Gilbert took custody of his daughter, got her birth certificate changed so she is now Crystal Jaquet, and Grandma and Daddy made much of her, including best friends, and started on the toddler training. Sonia just wasn't interested, though she'll have Crystal on weekends, so perhaps she'll eventually become friends with her, and Gilbert and Denise were both very much wanting to have Crystal, teach her things, and just general interactions. Crystal turned out to be a cute toddler.
I placed the Kims in Belladona, they got jobs, a male Dalmatian named Pogo, adopted Bridget (aka Chloe something-or-other), Gabby had three puppies, Justin and Bridget got into private school and A+ grades, and the Kims had a baby girl, Erin. I'll return to them when I've figured out who is getting the puppies: Spot, Dot, and Polka. Their lives are very straightforward, busy, happy and platinum. Cynthia is working up the Culinary career and Robert is in Law.
I made over the La Fiesta students, and played the Frat through their first year. Mikey has a thing with a good many ladies, including Sonia, Heather, Jessie, and Roxie. Matthew does, too, though he's not quite as good at romancing as Mikey is, and hasn't gotten past second base. Guy got kissed by most of the college popularity girls (Zoe went for Mikey instead), but he's wanting to get engaged to Brittany Upsnot--which goes to show that opposites attract. There are several sims who will spend a good deal of time blaming the alcohol at the frat parties for various poor choices. Matthew has only one bolt with Sarah, and given that they're in love, this does not say much for their compatibility. Gunner and Frances both pledged the frat as well. I set Zoe and Jasmine as cousins, and I plan to set DJ as a niece of Wanda Tinker. I think Frances and Guy might be cousins as well, haven't decided yet. I like my college students better with family.

Delenn moved back to Strangetown and built a house on an undeveloped plot. It started out rather humble, but she snagged a job as an agent and quickly moved up thanks to being Big Woman on Campus. She soon reached the top of her career thanks to maxing all her skills before even going to college. First day moving in, she met a few neighbours, including Circe Beaker, a townie, and another playable who's name escapes me(I think he's from Belladonna Cove). She and Circe hit it off nicely, though she will have to call Circe or summon her to build the relationship back up. The townie, a man named Toby, is a knowledge sim, and it was instant attraction. So she called him up and invited him over a few times, socialized until she felt it was time to pop the big question. They got engaged, which made for a beautiful cinematic with the snow, and then got married under the wedding arch. Then, she turned Toby into a Warlock. Toby took the last name Curious, and soon they tried for a baby, and Delenn got pregnant. I changed Toby's hair to a custom wavy style - long, blond hair looks really beautiful against dark skin, and it is his natural colour. Their baby, Glarn, has his father's skintone and eyes, and his mother's hair and temperament. Toby has only three nice points, but he's not so grouchy that he doesn't enjoy hugging and doing other friendly or romantic gestures. He's still learning the ropes of witchcraft, but I think he's maxed his alignment or is close to doing so. He has the infallibly good aura and sparklies which make him look very mysterious.

When it was getting close to time for the first baby to be born, I had Delenn invite Pascal, her dad, over, and they socialized a bit before Delenn went into labour. I did this so Pascal could watch the birth of his first grandchild. He still is young, thanks to elixir of life, because I want him to have at least a couple more alien babies and I don't want him to lose his CUTE glasses when transitioning to elder. I had previously invited all three brothers over, one at a time, and had Delenn turn them into warlocks. I'll hafta play the Curious household again soon and have the three daddies do some skilling. Might even raze the rather gratuitous staircases and columns on the roof and give them a real second floor so there'll be more room for the kids, and for all those cauldrons and books. The place is rather cramped, so renovations are definitely in order.

With the Pleasants, I might do some aspiration overhauls and have all the non-knowledge family members get knowledge as a secondary aspiration, just to soften the blow because I want to turn at least the girls into witches, and I definitely want Wally(their youngest child) to be a warlock. Or, I might change the primary aspirations of the girls to knowledge and have them keep their grilled cheesiness, because grilled cheese is soooooo delicious haha!

At the Goth household, I used the Simblender to summon Bella and move her in, and then unset the engagement between Cassandra and Don. They parted amicably, and I might remove the crush/love from both of them later on. Cassandra is now married to Darren and expecting her first child, and frankly, Darleen can bite me. I've tried pacifying her by having Darren and Dirk mourn at her grave, but she just kept on yelling, so I finally just dug a mote around her gravesite so she won't cause too much chaos. Might try resurrecting her later on. Dunno why that chick's having such a cow about her son. I mean, she meant a lot to him, so why the moaning and yelling?

Also thinking of playing the Subject household some more and having Nervous become a werewolf or use a personality altering drink that I downloaded. The werewolf trait might be useful though because in his case, as I have mentioned in another thread I think... or in this same thread, it would be an improvement, making him more playful and outgoing. I also want to give him another baby, because despite his grouchiness he is a good daddy.
