When I originally started the game neighborhood story and the whole pop ups of pre made families (for example: Cassandra is smitten with Don, maybe a little gesture may help; Maybe it's time to invite Nina over; Daniel is smitten with the maid but will that ruin family life or some stuff like that).
Now they're not here. Maybe someone who hasn't played could make a download so my game is how it should be?

First try this and remove just your Neighborhoods folder in C:\Users\(your computer name)\Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\ then restart your game.

It the above don't work then follow this.
Take out "The Sims 2" Folder out of My Doc. and place it on your desktop and then start up your game.
After you start up your game it will recreate every thing for you just like the first time you ran your game.
If your game is running fine then its time to put back your Downloads folder and any thing else you have that needs to go back in.


ADD: if you just change out the N001 hood with the new one then you also need to delete the "NeighborhoodManager" file in Neighborhood folder to, the game will gen up a new one and should reset for you.
