Default WCIF MORE diseases?
Yes, you heard it right- I'm looking for a mod or hack that will add more illnesses to the game, and one that will make getting sick easier. I have several historical neighborhoods and hospital lots, so more sickness is a must. I already have that realistic sickness mod that makes everything more dangerous, but in particular I'd like something that gives more diseases as a whole (stuff like cholera and chicken pox and smallpox, ect.). Bonus if it's got unique ways to come up with the illness, like being around animals, stink clouds, or smoke. I don't know if a mod or hack like the above stated exists, because none of my searches have come up with anything.

Thanks for taking the time to look at this!

Make sure you have some family sims that know how to make "grandma's comfort soup"

Hmm, I've never heard of anything like that, and since sims' appearance doesn't really change when they get sick, I kind of doubt anyone has made anything like that. You might try medieval sims.com because they do exclusively stuff from the Middle Ages, but I don't hold out a lot of hope. I just always make up what I want them to have. Most of my hoods have versions of the plague running through them now and again.

There are no such mods only your own imagination aided by cc. You can get makeup that looks like a rash, a cast so a leg is broken, things like that.

marka93 they already have realistic sickness.

Sunni's bubonic rats add a new way to introduce flu to the game: http://www.medievalsims.com/forums/...php?f=80&t=6268
The rats are buyable, and are cloned from roaches; they lower the environment, sims can stomp on them and they can make sims sick, but it's still just the regular flu.

The only custom disease I've seen is the STD here. http://backalleysims.com/adultsite/...d.php?7848-STDs

Along with the real sickness mod (which you already have), I use Cyjon's Frequent Disease Processing to add more randomness as to whether or not my sims will recover or die once they do get sick. With these two mods, I once had a plague/illness hit my last hood and lost more than 10 sims back to back. And, yes, I have the milder version of the real sickness mod.

Which version of real sickness do you use? If it's the less lethal one, you could try switching to the more lethal original version if you want a lot of deaths.

Charity, that STD mod is more annoying than fun to use, even Chris doesn't use it (according to the original description) and created it by request. Some months back, I tried it out on a test hood and did not end up using it in my main game(s).

I actually use the most severe version. As for the STD, I don't want to register at an adult site for it and have no need for sexual diseases (I never got past the 'ew, cooties' stage of things myself), but if I had an alternate link to it I might just be able to to tweak it to my own design with the proper tutorial...

What was wrong with it? I downloaded it, but haven't tried it yet.

There is nothing wrong with the mod itself, it works as Chris describes it, but it was so easy for the disease to spread...especially if you have ACR or any other autonomous mods that send sims woohooing on their own. The worst was when a few townies contracted it from the one playable test sim that I had given the STD to - spread pretty quickly from there. Again, townies, ACR2, community lots/playables homes and free will on.

Not to mention, if I recall correctly (it's been a few months), during testing there was a 100% infection rate - I like for things to be a little more random. Oh, and you get a pop-up message every time someone is infected...just like you do with the flu/cold.

But, you should try it out for yourself and see if you like it. I really wanted to love it as I use so many of Chris' other mods, but just didn't.

The other problem with that STD hack was the fact that you can't eradicate it once you have it in the game. It's just like the real life versions-especially with townies-because you can't control the townies, the disease spreads like wildfire and is 100% contagious.

Even Chris Hatch mentioned this problem when he released the mod.

Still, the STD disease does prove more diseases can be coded in.

I'd probably have less problems with it then as I don't use ACR, so my sims don't get a free ticket for woohoo with anyone. XD

Exactly! I couldn't believe how quickly it spread in my testing game - then I pictured the same thing occurring in my main game that has a lot more sims. No thanks.

But would anybody even know how to go about coding in a disease? I've never once come across a tutorial...
