Default Help choosing a new computer
My PC is quite old, and it's been acting up a lot the past year or two. I was just on the phone with Dell support for an hour, and trying to fix all of the problems would just suck more and more money out of me. I've decided to buy a new computer, so I've been doing some browsing, but I'm no expert. I would prefer not to build a computer; I want to just order a fully built one. I mainly play Sims 2 and plan on playing Sims 4 as well. I also watch a lot of videos in HD. I plan on keeping my current mouse, keyboard, and monitor (23"). I would like to keep costs below $800 if possible.

These three caught my eye. Would they be suitable for my needs?

Or would any of these be good?

All of the dell PCs have low end graphics (GT 720) and may not play TS4 so you can get any of the gaming PCs from Best Buy you requested as long the graphics card on the PC you choose are Green according to the TS4 chart (yellows are the absolute minimum to play Sims 4 smoothly): http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title...em_Requirements

Thank you for helping! Is there a particular PC from the Best Buy list that stands out to you? There are so many of them and they seem quite similar except for small differences, so I'm not sure how to narrow it down.

ETA: I thought these two looked best:

Get the IbuyPower PC. That has a much better graphics card than the Lenovo, a GTX 750 Ti. The Lenovo again has that low end GT 720

I wouldn't recommend iBuyPower. They tend to use refurbished parts and a lot of poeple come here asking for help after they've bought iBuyPowers with faulty parts inside. I'll see if I can find anything suitable for $800 or less elsewhere.

I'm assuming you're buying from the US, is that right?

I was considering as a new member creating my own thread, but I will jump on this one, if that's ok?

I am also considering a Dell XPS 8700 to buy , but for Sims3. Would I be going in the wrong direction in buying this PC ?

Here's what I've come up with...

Go to ncixus.com by following the links below and add the items to your cart. They will assemble, install the os and ship to you.

Total 9 items: $857.23, free shipping offer included.

I know it's above $800 but I think its worth paying extra for an i5. If its still outside your budget, you can switch to this i3 4130 instead of the i5 4430 mentioned above. Or you could wait for some sales like Christmas or Black Friday.
