Default WCIF: Bug fixes which were NOT obsolete
Hi everyone,
I'm searching for hacks/mods which fix Maxis' many bugs. (regarding: gameplay, CAS, technical and memory bugs)
I found some but I'm not sure if they are obsolete or not.

Anyway, do you know any hacks/mods which fix the most important issues in the game?
Which bug fixes are necessary for you?
I'm asking because I had to delete my neighbourhood because of the sims who had broken memories. (Gossip was also an enemy)
But I'm also interested in bug fixes like 'added missing interaction' or something like that.

By the way, I have all EPs/SPs installed.

BO's 2 mods will help plus all the ones at MATY.

Thank you for the list.
But I have a question can I still use 'Engagement Memory Fix' mod with 'ftminifixes' hack because the 'Hack Conflict Detection Utility' says that they may conflict each other.
So what should I delete now? 'ftminifixes'
Quote:
FEATURES: Fixes the following minor issues in FT: 1. Restorable car is no longer unusable if reset occurs while someone is using it. 2. Genie money-from-sky no longer queuestomped. 3. Diploma/Best of Best/First Simoleon no longer cause View Many errors. 4. Hobby-written novels should no longer break study interactions. 5. Edumacation Bookcase creates goldbooks again. 6. Arguments with unrelated people no longer queuestomp observers.

But I also would like to have the 'Engagement Memory Fix' mod installed. So what should I delete? I hate it if my sims get the wrong engagement memory but 'ftminifixes' seems to be an important hack.

Edit: I have attached a picture of it.

And do you also know any fixed buggy CAS related items? Like fixed broken clothes or hairstyles?

I wouldn't call ftminifixes an important hack, it's not essential like all the anti-regen/respawn or anti-corruption mods. In fact, I removed it after I identified that it was causing visitors to be able to autonomously use the painting easel, and realized I had no idea why I even had that one It even says in the description you quoted that it fixes minor issues.
I know I did not miss it.

I've never used ftminifixes, so it depends what is important to you. I would keep Engagement Memory Fix.

One not mentioned is Creature Fixes- Vital if you play vampires at all, but not needed if you never play them- so some fixes depend on your play style.

Drama Fix. Fixes the met self issue.

The bat Box. (lot debugger I think is the real name)

Caged pet fixes stops small pets dieing like flies. Also less pet fight and close the cage when you are done. (I think they are called that) I use pets a lot, may not bother you if you don't.

Free time no zone effects from DJ sims. I use the no sound version. No hobby Spam to stop them coming onto your lot.

Abort bed making since this can't be canceled. That also really bugged me.

Anti weather reaction to stop sims waking up at 3am to view weather. A vital annoyance fix for me.

No Shade Eyes Salute from M&G at Simbology.

Complain Fix for OFB. Do you play businesses? You would get a better list of mods if you wrote down stuff that bugged you as you play.

What is the complain fix? I don't think I have that one.

That stops people complaining at your business about dirty plates and such, especially if it's a home bushiness which is closed and you have friends over. Before the friends would have bad socials complaining about the dinner plate they just ate off because they were still on the table. I think it's that. http://www.simbology.com/smf/index.php?topic=16.0 Then again I might have been thinking of this http://www.insimenator.org/index.php/topic,7026.0.html If they can't complain at all it would also fix the error that the simbology mod fixes.

Thanks. I haven't tried a home business yet, but that does seem stupid.

But I have a question.
Are the customers going to complain about dirty plates if the business is open?
Because you said that the sims are going to stop to complain.

Anyway, I usually play big families and play in various ways.
Sometimes I start a business, sometimes my sims go to university, etc.
I don't play supernatural sims often (especially zombies) but I have some in my neighborhood and don't want them to break my game (ex. biting Mrs. Crumplebottom)

As I see, ftminifixes also contains the BHAV Memory Engagement.
Does it mean that ftminifixes also fixes that memory? As said, I like playing big families (and love the LW 'Marry Off 6 Children') but hate that my sims get the wrong engagement memory.

Yes they both fix the same memory of engagement. Even though it shows a conflict just have TJ's mod load last and they can stay in.

Yeah, I wasn't sure if it stopped all complaining or just silly complaining after the business was closed. Because some complaining makes sense.

But can I delete TJ's mod? Because they both fix the same memory.
Anyway I found a page with all Maxis bugs and its bug fixes.
But I never noticed some of those bugs.
How can I figure out that they are not obsolete?

And how many mods/hacks can the game load? Is there a limit? Because my Mods/Hacks folder is about 160 files.

I have never seen any of the bugs that "ftminifixes" is suppose to fix so I cant tell if it is still needed for I have never had it in my game, but I do have TJ's mod in and have had it since it first came out.

The best way to find out if you need it is to try and set your game up to do those action that the mod is suppose to fix.

There are some players who have well over 1000 game changing hacks/mods .

Can you give us a link to this page? If it's old page it may not be giving correct information. There are only a handful of mod fixes that are essential to prevent the game blowing up, the rest are for a what you personalty find annoying and then those that change game play to what you want. I have about 300 mods/hacks.

I wish there was a list of which hacks are still needed. After finding that most of what AL Fixes supposedly fixed was already fixed I'm wondering if other hacks I have might be unnecessary.

I downloaded a lot of bug fixes but how can I figure out if they are still needed?
Maxis might fixed the most bugs already in a patch.
Does someone know an 'up-to-date' list like this one here? http://modthesims.info/wiki.php?tit...weaks_and_Fixes

That list is a good one but there are some bugs which I never noticed and might be fixed in patches...

...about the Complain Fix for OFB...are the customers still going to complain about dirty plates while the business is open?
Or will it eliminate it completely?
