This user has the following games installed:

Sims 3, World Adventures, Ambitions, Late Night, Generations, Pets, Showtime, Supernatural, Seasons, University Life, Island Paradise, Into the Future
Default Why is it "not recommended" to merge default replacements/sliders/skins?
I just merged a few of my packages to make the game run faster. Then I read that you shouldn't do that with default replacements, sliders and skins. (And mods, but I didn't do that anyway.)

Leaving those out means I have exactly 0 packages to merge. :/

Now, why is it exactly not recommended? Will it 100% do bad things to your game, or is it worth backing up and giving it a try?
