Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Free Time, Apartment Life
Default Hoodchecker shows Tricou family in custom downtown, help?
I recently downloaded meetme2theriver's clean Veronaville to try to avoid corruption. I recently added a custom downtown to it, and today I ran the neighborhood through Mootilda's hoodchecker. It was able to fix everything wrong with the neighborhood except it keeps showing that the Tricous' data and memories don't exist. Is there anyway to remove their data from the neighborhood? I thought of deleting the downtown, but that would cause more corruption because of the deleted sims.

Any advice would be great, though I'm pretty sure I'm already doomed. Hopefully it won't cause too much trouble with my game.

Did you make the custom downtown or did you download it.

Can we assume that you didn't install an empty template for Downtown in your Program Files folder? If not, then the game did what it always does... adds the townies from the template to your custom subhood.

If you made it in your full game instead of in an empty environment (which would have involved making it entirely separately as a neighborhood and converting it to a subhood; process outlined here: http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=420196 ), then you get the default downtownies - including, alas, dead Tricous. Who now have no graves to rest in.

Try regenerating the tombstones, as follows:

In neighborhood view, start testingcheats
On lot, place batbox, teleporter cat
Summon dead sim with cat
Shift click dead sim, make selectable
Select
Shift click batbox
Item
Respawn tombstone

It's worth a shot.

Ugly is in the heart of the beholder.
