Sorry for now answering sooner. I had some computer problems and missed the replies to this thread. Anyway, the wherris wheel is a part of set by Ilana from Sims 3 Modeli. So are the balloons deco.

The roller coaster I build myself. It's not a deco item. It gave me a lot of headache and took time.

wow this is a really old thread, well an easy way to make piers and boats and such is converting from other games. TJ Streak discusses it ion her blog. Plus if you have 3DS and Kam's scripts, you can use .dff and .txd files from GTA 3 era games and convert them into models usable in the Sims 3. All you need are the files in the gtas.img file. And luckily in the San Andreas file, there are a bunch of piers and boats to use, from dinghy's to big 'ol barges.

If I have the time, I'll convert a few things for you.
