Spiders (especially big ones), Plants - all plants, insects, large dogs, the ocean - mainly cause I can't swim that well, and am always terrified that I'd drown if I go in too deep. Birds, and I have a mild social phobia.

Sweat. Seriously. I cannot handle sweat. I can control it to a point, but if I'm in a room full of sweaty people (say, a rave) I end up retching when they brush past me and wanting to scream a little bit.

It's weird. I understand this. :P

Cockroaches, but only very large ones, the regular small ones I don't mind too much but used to. I think it's because since I moved to an area more prone to roaches I get the smaller ones in greater abundance no matter what I do (hate to admit). Also I'm terrified of heights. I personally believe that all phobias point to past life experiences, but that's just my New Age philosophy kicking in.

I hate bugs. I wish they would just get out of my life and leave me alone.

I once thought i was sad because I had no shoes, then I saw a man with no feet.

Hiya I have a phobia of people's/animal's insides. I don't know the name for it. I used to often faint during Biology at school, often just when reading textbooks, listening to the teacher etc. Dissections were absolutely out of the question. I was sent to see a specialist about it, but she didn't manage to cure me, she actually made it worse. My GCSE exam was marked less strictly/made easier (can't remember which exactly as it was 16 years ago), and I was sat by the door in case I fainted during the exam.

I have an incurable disease (unrelated), and often faint during my hospital appointments, especially when the doctors talk to me about details.

I also fainted recently in my office, I had the radio on and the DJ was talking about a TV programme she had watched about people cooking human flesh.

On a lighter note, I'm also terrified of slugs and snails!

Needles. I have had so many bad experiences with needles. My veins are super tiny and they roll around a lot, so it ALWAYS takes multiple tries in order to draw blood for blood tests, and I've frequently had inexperienced nurses work on me. They've dug around with the needle, causing much pain. They've rotated through four different nurses taking two tries each, after which I threw up and then passed out. They've carelessly hit a nerve with the needle, making my entire arm numb for the day. They've caused bruising for weeks.

I'm almost twenty years old, and having my arm stretched out and then seeing a needle can literally get me sobbing in about three seconds.

I don't think I have a real phobia, but I am afraid of -

Calling people. If my mom or sister tells me to call somebody, I will just stand there and shove the phone at them. Sometimes I almost start crying. The only people I can call are my parents, grandparents and my sister.

Being outside alone in the dark. I live near the woods, and random howling really freaks me out. I usually end up running to the car, and then running back into the house again as fast as I can.

Most things that have to do with cooking. I hate ovens, stoves and knives. I won't open the oven, I won't cook on the stove and I won't cut with most knives. I don't particularly like toasters either.

There are probably more but I can't think of them right now.

I am genuinely fearless, I can't remember what it's called, but I have an extraordinarily rare disorder which suppresses the part of the brain which creates fear, which is awful, I've been in hospital nearly 12 times after running in into roads. That coupled with severe ADHD, means my life is insanely risky.

I have a few. In addition to arachnophobia and clausrophobia, I also have telephobia (a fear or reluctance to make or recieve telephone calls...which I'm learning isn't terribly uncommon) and I have a terrible fear of robot/computerized voices. They freak me out. I always tell people if they really want to see me scared to watch me listen to The National Weather Service or those "This is only a test" broadcasts. I have no clue why. Double points if it's a female voice.

just heights and having to make decisions, really.
the second isn't really a fear, i just get stressed when i am put on the spot to decide something for myself. i assume it has something to do with my parents coddling me and doing all the decision making for me as a child, and now that i'm growing up and nearly legal it's scary having so much freedom.

Mine is like to the point where I have a little panic attack doing something as meaningless as ordering pizza over the phone and I tend to avoid answering my phone even if I'm expecting a call. It's bad now because I have a kid and she constantly needs me to call for doctors appointments and that sort of thing.

I wouldn't know what its called but I am compleatly afraid and disgusted (think of the feeling some have about spiders or bugs) of coins, along with most other small, round, metal things.

mine are:
-depth/ height
-something that huge in proportion compared to myself (rainforest tree, huge monument, whale, waterfall, canyon, etc)
-snails slugs, slimy stuff

they will make me feel uneasy.

things that I just hate (not fear of) are:
parties, loud music, people talking loud, concert, dog barking (especially small dog breeds), people who ring my doorbell or honking impatiently, real women who talk with anime character "cute" voice.

Balloons(I don't like it when they pop because it scares the crappity-crap outta me), people hearing me talk in my sleep(I'm worried I'll say something really silly and they'll either tell me about it or suppress laughter whenever I'm around), becoming so old I can't take care of myself or have any control - being at the mercy of my caregivers. I've read a blog by a profoundly autistic woman, and in some of her entries, she writes about the way care facilities and caregivers will find subtle(if unintentional) ways to abuse and exploit the people they are supposed to be serving. I'm talking severely disabled people who for several reasons cannot get around easily or bathe themselves because of neurological disorders.

I think mine are pretty normal as phobias go.

1. frogs. My brother threw a frog on me when I was young. They still scare me to this day.
2. bugs. They're gross. I can't stand when people even talk about bugs while I'm eating.
3. spiders. Same as bugs. Plus, they can be really poisonous.
4. Public speaking (humiliating)
5. Crowds. I have slight social anxiety when I'm in a room with just a few people; but when I'm in a room full of people, my first thought is "How do I get out of here?".

I posted here once before, but my phobias have changed since then.
1) Heights. I've always been afraid of them, at least somewhat. Even standing on a chair or counter freaks me out. And don't try to get me to go on a ladder--not gonna happen.
2) Still afraid of poop. I have a horrible fear of being in a porta potty and having it tipped over. And like when I posted last time, if someone says they have to poop, I will freak the hell out and want to run away.
3) Crowds/groups of people. I get socially anxious and want to run away. Basically more than 5 people freaks me out a little; more than 50 is really bad.
4) I recently found out I have Trypophobia, which is fear of holes in the skin. So basically anything with holes/webbing freaks me out: bell peppers (the insides), webbed flesh or flesh with holes/openings, skin diseases, etc. I looked up Trypophobia, and I don't know that I've ever been so freaked out/disgusted in my life. Absolutely horrible and horrifying.

Public speaking. I'm working at trying to overcome it, but doing it causes me so much stress and anxiety. Life would be swell if public speaking didn't exist. >_>

I'm genuinely freaked out by spiders. Not sure if it's quite at a legitimate phobia level, but if it is bigger than teeny, I need somebody to come kill it for me before I lose sight of it =P

One that I know I had for a big chunk of my life while growing up, but have more or less overcome, is emetophobia (fear of vomiting). It started when I was about 11 or 12 or so, and I'm not entirely sure exactly how it developed. It was around a time that I was dealing with other anxiety-related issues, though, so it possibly evolved from that. But it was pretty serious. I would have full-blown panic attacks (we're talking hyperventilating, racing heart, nearly fainting, the works...) whenever my stomach would feel the slightest bit unsettled. Fortunately, the panic attacks stopped after about 6 months or so, after I learned methods to calm myself down whenever I could feel one coming on. But the phobia still persisted until about 5 years ago.

I worked as a summer camp counselor a while back, and one summer, the stomach flu bug hit camp. Hard. We were calling it the Plague of 2008! In the first 36 hours alone, more than half the camp had gotten it. (About 170-something campers and staff!) By the end of it all, I think about 5/6ths of the entire camp had had it. You could literally count the number of counselors who had never gotten it on one hand! (And I was one of them! I fought it off by sheer willpower, I think, lol!) I mean, it was literally an emetophobe's worst nightmare! But somehow... it kinda cured me! ("Flooding", or immersion therapy is one method of treating phobias... Not one I would have entered into voluntarily, but hey!) I think being forced into that situation of being surrounded by it definitely helped me work through my fear. I mean, I still avoid throwing up at all costs, but I'm nowhere near at the level of fear I used to be =) So yay for that!!

I also have a weird thing about needles in the crook of my arm (like where they do certain IV's and bloodwork). It's funny, I can take a regular shot in my upper arm like a big girl (mostly... as long as I'm not looking, haha!), but come at my inner elbow with a needle, and I will FLIP THE FREAK OUT. I've definitely required multiple nurses to pin me down a few times =P
