This user has the following games installed:

Sims 3, Late Night, Pets, Supernatural, University Life, Island Paradise
Default Does renaming .package files make a difference to my game speed?
It might just have been a rumour, but I seem to remember being told that removing underscores and brackets from the .package file names in my Mods folder would make the game run my custom content smoother.
Can anyone tell me that this definitely is or isn't true?

Removing brackets, spaces, and other special characters can help. I think it's okay with - and _ as long as you don't overdo it.

Thank you! My game has been really laggy recently so hopefully if I donate a chunk of time to sorting out the file names, that will help me out

Interesting. Any idea why underscores and brackets cause it to lag?
