I second this! It's such a nice town with different districts to live in. When I get back to my game, I want to convert that factory home in the industrial district into an apartment :3

EDIT: OMG!! Thank you so much. I'm loving this little place. I won't bother with the families that come with it since my sims will be nudging them out soon enough Thanks again

Glad you like it! Hopefully it'll provide as good playability as people on that forum said. Oh, and the world isn't prepopulated which made me happy as well. :lovestruc

I'm waiting for the Vice City world by Fresh-Prince to be completely finished. Other than the RiverBlossom hills world that is available on this site, I haven't found any other worlds that I really like, and I've already tried about 20 different custom worlds. Like said before me, a lot of the worlds are just unplayable or the few good and actually playable custom worlds I've encountered lag too much to even be enjoyable playing within.

I'm not sure if this world was mentioned, but I love Elmira City by SimRealty. It has two separate sections, an urban area and a more residential/suburby area. The map is pretty small too, so getting around is easy, and the subway system works really well in the urban area. It reminds me of a world I wanted to build but abandoned due to my lack of skill. Here is the link: http://www.mysimrealty.com/WORLDS_ElmiraCity.html

Went to go look at that world, and the link to the download appears not to be working, fyi.

That's weird. It works for me. Maybe google My Sim Realty, go to sims 3, world, and scroll down to find elmira city? It is really beautiful.

Quick thing - I updated the link on Elmira City's mainpage because it was in fact not working! Glad I checked here and saw that!

Worlds that I have created...
Brooklyn Heights - large city with more residential and suburban areas than Bridgeport.
Elmira City - best of both city and small town living without seeing the other.
Redwood Harbor - Mountainous island with boat houses and a woodsy look.
Anju Falls - compared to Australia, rustic and tropical island
Anju Falls New Era - remake of Anju with a more modern feel
Pagoda Isles - connected islands with an asian feel
Cascade Shores - Island with a cascading waterfall down the center
Meadow Glen - Farming / rural town that only needs base game
Elba Village - Larger regular town with matching houses, only needs base game
Winchester Farming Community - rural farming island with red schoolhouses and dirt roads

Of all of these, I find myself playing Redwood Harbor the most - I love the boat houses in the save file - and Elmira City because I can live in either place but have the luxuries of both city and town

And of course all of these are at www.mysimrealty.com

Maybe this question is off-topic, but I need to ask this, before my head and eyes explode. Is there any small-map island-world, with all rabbit holes, and all types of club, like smaller Bridgeport? And have good design too (with all house named handsomely). Am I demand too much???

Hey there! :)

My favourite world is Longview by Rflong7. I adapted it to my personal taste, but the original world is still a nice one.

I am attaching a few pictures so you can have an idea!

Just discovered "Al Shibalba" by My Sim Realty. It's an Egyptian desert world, and it looks really great! I'll be testing it out shortly, but for now here's the link : http://www.mysimrealty.com/WORLDS_AlShibalba.html

I tried this World and like it very much too.I love the little homes on the beach with the seagull noise in the background. I like smaller Worlds as I'm kind of a control freak and want to know what's going on around town. So, this World suits me. The homes are lovely and it is a pretty world with its different sections. It gets 5/5 thumbs up from me!! :lovestruc

My fave so far would still be Victorian Bay. I got Cascade Shores at one point, but didn't like it so much, I honestly can't remember why. Probably because I didn't want to add tall apartments or clubs/bars to it as it would ruin the scenery, but the world didn't come with any of it's own, and I'm really no good at building, lol. I really need to try some more out there, I do love my smaller worlds. =]

Tried Longview II? It's an updated version of Longview (obviously) and really nicely done too.

I've been playing a small island all day, and I really like it. It's called Bougainvillia Bay. It's tiny and fun.
Here's the link if anyone wants a little world to play.

Found a really nice one here, Ville de Montagne.
The only problem for us WA owners is if it looks different enough to Champs Les Sims.
Perhaps making the roofs black or something will make it more unique. Still nice though!

This, http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/249858.page , is going to be my next favourite custom world. I just downloaded the Beta that is somewhere linked to towards the end of the thread and I have to say it's sort of "special". The houses, the population, the atmosphere, I feel as if I am playing inside some strange movie. David Lynch maybe? Twin Peaks? Some film noir? Or an above ground version of Rapture from Bioshock? I can't say. It's hard to describe. But this world does definitely not inspire one to play some happy family.

I have all of these installed in my game, and I love each of them for different reasons. I have a good machine, so I love to play large worlds, and it's fun to play worlds with lots of community lots and things to do at night.

However, I also have other worlds I play for outdoor type Sims who garden, collect and fish for a living. Each of these worlds plays well for me, and has stood the test of time with some minor editing:

Acorn Bay

Brooklyn Heights**

Catalina ****

Crooked Creek****

Doodle Island****

Longview II****(An improved version of a very good World)

Constant Springs****(Beautiful, plays well)

Lothlorien***** (spectacular, needs a good machine to play, about three hundred
residential lots on this one. it's great for the Architectural Design Career)My current favorite

Overlook Bay****(Needs a good machine)

Plum Grove***

Port La Forks***

Riverblossom Hills***

Sanctuary****

Saskan Harbor****(Beautiful to look at, for outdoor loving Sims)

Sunset Valley Second Edition****

Toronto Islands****

I don't play "Los Aniegos" because I live in Los Aniegos

Most, if not all, of these may be located from this link:

Here's a fairly recent Exchange posting that I'm liking. It's Sunset Valley, with moar.

I like the overall land structure of Riverview, but my favorite place would have to be Redcliffs

I just find the person who run Awesims a fucking genious, and, for me, Queenstown and Redcliffs are one hundred million times superior than any other world EA made ultill now.

Queenstown:

Redcliffs:
http://awesims.sixty-ten.net/2010/1...for-the-sims-3/

Seriously, I've never seen such a good work from the layout, to the textures, the architecture and just how lovely everything is. Both words have districts, and you can see it clearly, and it makes you feel like there's lots of districts instead of just one plain town.

Another one that is really amazing, is Los Aniegos, that you guys already discussed here. It's really well made, and also fit my taste for "districts".

Right now, that's the only three worlds I've tried so far. You guys are talking about Riverblossom Hills so much that maybe I'll try it out someday.

Longview has always been one of my favorites, Longview II is a lot better! One of the things that bugged me with Longview was sims living in the little beachy area didn't have a road and so had to run to the road. Longview II changed that and added in a dirt road and bridge for them to use.
