Default This is my first time meshing, and I've meshed a dress over Swimsuit_plunge clothing, But I can't figure out how to texture it, please help!!!
So as I said I've meshed a dress over Swimsuit_plunge, and now I wanna put texture on my dress, but as I try to follow the few tutorials that i've found, only the swimsuit gets textured and it look all wierd.

How do I texture my dress?? Please help!!
I've searched around alot and can't find anything

You need to fix the UV map for the dress first - right now I can see the sim's foot texture on the dress, so if you did texture the dress, the sim's feet would end up with dress texture . When making the UV map, you'll need to make sure that your dress's UV map stays within the red and green areas in this image: https://thumbs2.modthesims2.com/img/...ingtemplate.jpg

I recommend adding that texture as a material in Milkshape (Materials tab -> New -> click the <empty> box -> select the image; then select all your mesh and click Assign), so that you can see the coloured areas in the Co-ordinate editor.

If you don't know how to UV map, we can handle that too .

What I lack in decorum, I make up for with an absence of tact.

I'm a total beginner at this, I literally learned and started meshing yesterday so.. :O
