Determing where texture goes over mesh?
Ok, this may be a stupid, or alreasy answered question, but since I'm mostly working on a computer without sims 2 I can't colorize different parts to guess which part is which on the .png.

Anyway is there a way I can find out which part of the texture goes over which part of the mesh without having to go to such lengths? I think it has something to do with UVMapping no? (that's just something I picked up from another thread, so not completely sure).

If someone could help me out on that it would be just ducky . Thanks.

I took my own advice and downloaded UV Mapper from http://uvmapper.com and exported the mesh using SimPE like the first part in the mesh tutorial.

I opened UVMapper, opened the exported mesh, and then went to Texture --> Load. I loaded the Exported texture from SimPE and walla! I could see which part of the table was covered by which part of the texture.
