Default Not compatible with .NET Framework 2.0?
I installed Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 to get the latest SimPE and now my Clean Installer gives me a S2PCISE.exe error message and I can't run it. Am I right in assuming it doesn't like .NET 2.0?

I'm not having a problem running Clean Installer with .NET Framework 2.0 installed.

You didn't uninstall the previous .NET version did you?

I tried to reinstall it and I'm getting a Runtime debugging error. Okay, I'll try again.

Inge -- yes, I did uninstall NET 1.1. If I reinstall it, it won't mess up SimPE now, would it? Is it safe?

You can have both versions installed at the same time and it shouldn't be a problem.

Yes it's better to leave both installed because there are various tools that need one or the other, as you found out :D
