Quick background:
These screenshots are the product of a personal challenge. The goal of this challenge is to take a maxis created collection, and try to create a house around it using as much of the collection items as possible. I decided to start with the "Ultra Modern" collection. Because it is a small collection, I completed this house in 10 minutes and it shows.

^ This is the front.
http://planetrandom.freeforums.org/...file.php?id=421
^ When you first step into the front door, view the living room and look to your right, you see two sleeping alcoves (privacy is so passe) and the door to the restroom.
http://planetrandom.freeforums.org/...file.php?id=422
^ To your left is four lonely dining chairs looking for a table, the kitchen nook and the third sleeping alcove.

^ As you can see, this house would be most suited for Sims who went to college together and want to keep the communal life going.

A house I'm thinking about uploading here at MTS, based on a house plan I saw at architecturaldesigns.com.

I'm doing makeovers on Mew's Moos community lots ( http://www.modthesims.info/browse.p...&gs=1&f=38&gs=1 ) I use her c-lots quite a bit and always kept the the names she gave them.

Here is her Mini Mart - 1x1 lot - I'm thinking of making this an owned business and see how it goes. It will probably be a slow growing one, but that doesn't matter.

Here are 2 more of Mootilda's Moo's Mews lots. I'm not great at arranging pictures. All lots do have a bathroom area, they're just hidden from sight. (: The outside views are not always shown because I can't remember which is which unless a sign or something in the picture reminds me. I've had some help finding more signs and will replace them on lots when available.

The first one for today is the casino

the second is the electro dance

My custom island vacation hood Marble Coast's 1st community lot/ Since it is a 3 x 3 lot, I'm going to have it be a restaurant and/or musuem.
It is inspired by the Getty Villa of Los Angeles, do you see any resemblance? I had to change a few things. It is supposed to look Mediterranean at least

I can usually build better than this, but this is a legacy, so I have limited resources.

Anyway, the evolution of the Tumbleton House:

I like doing the 'you will earn the money for every single brick' approach too. Seth should be gratfeul he got a roof to start with. No toilet to start I note <approves>

I no longer come over to MTS very often but if you would like to ask me a question then you can find me on tumblr or my own site tflc. TFLC has an archive of all my CC downloads.

Psh, toilets? That's what grass is for! He got a shower before he got a toilet because I was sick of his dadgum whining!

And now he has a garage and a pickup truck. He has 'wallpapering' inside, it's just some of the under construction looking stuff (I think it came with NL but I'm not sure). I like the outside structure of his home: it turned out to be something I can work well with.

A house I am in the process of building. It isn't finished inside, but the exterior is pretty much finished. I'm not the best at building houses, but I decided to have a crack at it because I was struggling to find a house for my Sims (that and admittedly, I was being too picky.... :p). The plan is based off of this house.

I just finished making my version of the Sim 1 mansion. It's not completely accurate but it'll do, and as it's pretty much a shell inside, it's quite affordable tor ambitious Sims to purchase and do up.

Makeover of Maxis "Ranch Retreat":

And, as that house is my eight household, I unlock a second Method A community lot (I'm playing a BACC). I decided to have a somewhere teens can hang out because all 8 children are close to becoming teens.

A Wintry scene that I just happened to take and was delighted by what I'd captured. I think it's a really pretty in-game picture:

This is Little Greystone, a makeover of the Maxis lot "Just Right" in the lot bin. I'm really happy with how this turned out

In the Morning - An exterior shot lit by the golden sunrise.

A Simple Floorplan - Interior shot with cutaway walls. The rooms are definitely cozy, so I went with just this one picture. That's the owner, Benjamin, enjoying one of his favorite pastimes. If I were to redo this without specific sim in mind, I'd go with a different furniture arrangement. Ben, however, insisted on bringing his late parents' piano and violin, plus his mother's sewing machine from the old cabin. So I had to find a place for them.

Side Retreat - Sort of an English garden/park inspired space. There are things left out of the shot due to space issues, but this gives the gist of it.

Voyeur - Peeking over the stone wall, for a view of the pool area and backyard. The plant-screened back porch sports a telescope for gazing at the stars.

I got into a weird pool phase. This is a wealthy sims pool. A lesbian couple lived in the house with their 3 alien children and 2 alien grandchildren.

For Jay Gatsby's pool, I couldn't resist being silly and making the pool out of his initials.

Did a bit of a make-over after the Cooke's third kid became a child and their eldest became a teenager.

The house is in DV, I've forgotten the name of it but it's blue with a pond outside. It has one quite large room off the front room which I turned into a bedroom originally:

Though of course, with Peridot and Pearla getting older, and wanting a more girlier room - which Parsley wouldn't enjoy. I decided to split the room up into two smaller rooms. One for Parsley, and one for Peridot and Pearla to share.
