It's when children (under eighteen or legal age) are placed in adult situations--not always sex, but looking older then their age or posing sultrily. mainly girls but boys are shota (given by japanese) lolita is from an Italian (I think) book that revolved around a story of a guy falling in love with a twelve or ten (cant remember) year old girl. The tag kind of became popular, it can even go for grown women dressing as school girls or looking like any type of little girls
