Default How to Remap a simple dress?
Hello!

I've been going forth and back, using google to find any good tutorial on how to UV map things in Milkshape or with other programs but I couldn't find anything that would help me to remap a simple dress.
I have an idea on how it might work but I really don't get along with it.

I mean, you could regroup the dress into four groups, one for each side (left, right, front, back) and remap those but how do I connect the pieces to have it like EA maps?

I'm so confused, I really don't know how to handle it so I have hope that maybe somebody will be able to help me?

Thank you very much!

You map all 4 pieces in one box, after that tick/lock the y axis and move each part next to eachother.
That way all vertice stay horizontal inline.

You ten regroup them into one.

Visit the map again and move the pieces next to eachother, use scale and move to do so.
Use a pattern as material on the dress so you can see how to make the distance between vertice equal.

I personal use just back and front like EA does.
You easily switch the sides....
