This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, Free Time, Apartment Life
Default I've gone stupid
Okay, so lately I've been having trouble adding new neighborhoods. I've done it successfully in the past, but I've had no luck in the last few months. I download the neighborhoods and put them in the neighborhood folder. Isn't that right?

Depends. Are they full neighbourhoods with lots and sims, or are they SC4 terrains? Are they multi-part archives, and if so are they getting extracted properly?
What I lack in decorum, I make up for with an absence of tact.

It doesn't seem to matter. The last few have been full neighborhoods. As for extraction, I download them. I don't recall one being a zip or anything.

Try deleting the NeighbourhoodManager file.
