As the title says...now I understand why some of my cc files no longer work, especially SimPE. I had to download a new copy and delete the old one. I kept seeing this encrption msg in some of the cc folders, but I thought it pertained to read me texts. Stupid, stupid, stupid! I got it 9/23/2014. Thanks to the FBI and Interpol, this Russian Botlink has been shutdown. I only use my HP for Sims, so no harm was done outside of losing some of Sims cc folders, but they can be replaced. I probably caught it from a university computer onto my flash drive and none of the anti-viruses caught it...at first. I always run scans on the flashdrive, but it wasn't caught. I should always run a manual scan on the flashdrives to make sure nothing slips by.
