Default Modify facial structure
For some reason the hack 'NoCASSmiling' does not work in my game. Sims being worked on in CAS grin all the time. I was constructing Elbereth Gilthoniel, a student to be a companion for Legolas while he works his way through college. I gave her the standard 'elf' face, roughly the eleventh face in the line-up, with pointed ears; but it looked too severe for beauty. I changed the nose, changed the eyes, changed the nose again. All the while she kept grinning, with an absurdly up-turned mouth; so I pulled down the corners of her mouth, and sent her off to the dorm. Well, when not smiling, that face was sour enough to curdle milk. I didn't like to look at my creation, she was such a grim-faced biddy, much like Mrs Crumplebottom. Full of regrets, I hastened her into friendship with three secret society members. It was not easy: she kept wanting to write her term paper instead of socialising or playing chess with them. Sophomore year passed at last, and she gave up her knowledge obsession to become a family sim. At last, she was being arrested by someone who looked even grimmer than she did, and was driven to a lot that housed Dr. Vu's Automated Cosmetic Surgeon.

After changing into the uniform, and playing Secret Handshake with nearly everyone, she made her way to the important machine. She typed in some co-ordinates and pressed her face into the re-shaper. I pulled those mouth corners up, and tried to make her eyes a little less grim. Well, she looked in the mirror and cheered, but I was not so pleased. I had muffed it again! That face did not look quite human - everything was obscurely wrong. So I sent her back to the machine to have another go. This time she did not type in anything, and soon had a ghastly, grotesque face like a pig. She looked in the mirror and screamed in horror.

I wondered whether she was only allowed one go at the machine, and all subsequent attempts would end in disaster. I urged her to have another go, but it happened again: this time teeny tiny eyes and huge blubbery lips. More screams, more horror, more despair. Would I have to quit without saving to salvage the wreckage of my sim? Try one more time, Elbereth!

This time I took no chances: she got the standard elf face with no changes. At last! She was back to normal. That episode taught me that I really am not very clever at sim sculpture.

Try practicing in Body Shop. (Yes, it takes forever to load. "Not Responding" doesn't mean "Crashed" it means the program is telling the system "Hey, can't you see I'm BUSY!? Stop bothering me!") But Body Shop models don't smile. (And you can do more with them than you can in-game.)

Her aspiration had probably sunk into the green. Don't you need a high aspiration to use the career rewards like that?

Or it might have just been randomized, like the makeover chair.

Ugly is in the heart of the beholder.

Yeah, aspiration must be gold or platinum to secure a good outcome, otherwise you'll often get a bad outcome.

Lol, what a long and somewhat amusing tale. Just get Christianlov's Gussy up and forget all of that messing around. It's right in his archive of files. http://www.mediafire.com/download/i...ack+Archive.zip I think it should be in there. Just click on a sim (not a universal) and select Gussy UP> Change Everything or Plastic surgery. That will give you a cas window to sculpt her or any other sims facial structure.

I looked at that. It's 2.05 MB of total mystery. What on earth would I be downloading? Surefire way to get a big fiery ball visible from space.

When you download the archive is comes in folders. It's large because it contains all of his mods. Just take out 'Closest Gussyup' to keep and delete the rest if you want, personally I would keep them all somewhere safe since some are hard to get apart from that archive which I think Charity put together.

The only downfall to Gussy Up was it was made before Seasons, so outerwear is not included. But you can buy clothes, plan clothes, change appearance or, sculpt face. You can click on any passing ugly townie you want and give them an entire makeover. It temporarily adds them in and then sends them away. I've used it for years, it's perfectly safe. Christianlov was a very good modder.

Just adding, the face sculpt is not genetic. it's like changing your hair colour, it's just cosmetic surgery. You need to use SimPE to make the changes genetic so they can be passed on to children.
