Have you tried resetting your game to factory settings?
Here's a guide:
http://sims3.crinrict.com/en/2011/0...installing.html
Basically, you just make a backup of your user directory, enter the game so it creates a new one, see if it works right, and if it does, copy your saves and mods(As well as custom styles, achievements and collections) to the user directory TS3 created.
EDIT: You can download ErrorTrap by NRAAS: http://nraas.wikispaces.com/ErrorTrap and Traveler: http://nraas.wikispaces.com/Traveler
These mods fixed the infinite loading screen error for me. You need to set up the Mod Framework first for them to work, if you haven't already: http://modthesims.info/wiki.php?tit...Setup_and_Files

You don't need an external drive, you can copy the backup files wherever you want.

Find your sims 3 game folder: This PC>Documents>Electronic Arts>The Sims 3. Click on the sims 3 and drag the entire folder to the desk top.
Now start the game and it will remake all of those folders, and nothing you added to the game will be included.
If your game is fine, something you added to the game (cc or mods) is causing a problem. Please post in the TS3 Help section:http://www.modthesims.info/forumdisplay.php?f=551
If your game is not fine, something is wrong separate from mods or cc. Please post in the help section listed above.
Either way, mention that you have tested the game with a new game folder.
Good luck.
