I'd love to see more mods along the lines of crumplebottom_marky4444's weather/climate mods. I love the variety that they add to my game as I use different ones for different 'hoods. I'd especially like to see the following options (if they're possible): - More moderate temperatures in Summer & Winter, more rain all year round and less snow in Winter. - Less rain all year round. |

There is just a set of constants for each season with a chance of rain, snow, and hail. Decrease the number and you'll have less. Increase the number and you'll have more. As well, there's another set of constants for each season, which specify the chance of light rain (snow/hail), medium rain, or heavy rain. So, you can decide that you want more light rain and less heavy rain. I found the descriptions of the fields fairly easy to understand, even though I had never looked at them before. If you want help finding them, I'll get you the TGIs of the BCONs. |

Thanks for the advice Mootilda! Even as I posted that post I was thinking "Hmmm, I wonder if they'd be simple enough for me to make myself....."! :-) I shall take a closer look at them when I get rid of this stupid flu and can actually concentrate on things, and look at a computer screen for more than about 10 minutes without getting a (worse) headache..... And it's my birthday today too - who gave me flu for my birthday!? It sounds like changing the amount of precipitation is fairly straightforward, how about temperature? | |

I don't know offhand. I just happened to be fooling around with the weather constants recently, so I noticed Chance - Rain, Chance - Light, etc. in BCONs: Group 0x7F232ABA Instances 0x1001 to 0x1010. You could open some of the existing mods and see what they do. |

Not sure if this has been done somewhere, but since I didn't see anything doing a quick search here at MTS... It would be nice to see a mod to make it so that fires don't die down when the Grim Reaper comes; it's such a kill joy to have a big fire going (like with the fire bomb on Sim Wardrobe) and then see the fire go out after just one Sim dies. No Grim Reaper, that fire was supposed to kill 20 Sims, not just one. :P |
